I was wondering about something, what does the envelope with a black hole in the center mean? the one that is on the left side of the posting?? anyone know? just curious.

If it's the same one I'm thinking of....when you're on the list of topics in a forum...it's on the left hand side. I never thought of it as a hole...just a black dot. Like some envelopes are tan, some look like they're bursting open....then there are ones that look like that with black dots/holes in them.

Yes, I kinda like to know what all of them mean. I s'pose I could just figure them out on my own, but if there's a quicker way for me to learn (like if you know and are willing to share the secret), I'd be grateful!

thanks for helping me, the envelope with the black dot is on the very left hand side of the column next to where the the threads are posted. You know, like when you go to the thread advice etc? then below that on the left hand side is the envelope, then the picture we post of how we feel, mine is a blue question mark, then title I think and then ratings etc. but it is like the one person said, some are envelopes that look like there being burst open and others are double envelopes? I wonder, maybe the black dot is ??? the other envelopes perhaps they are like someone said how many replies? but thanks , I think you are right, it must be replies. bless you all for helping me.
