  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Whatever.

You're entitled to your opinion ... and mine. :)

Isn't that the point of discussion? Whenever the whatever is thrown around,...its pretty telling on the attitude of the person ya? But its all good,...I understand where you're coming from,...guess we just have to leave it at that ....cheers :)

Difference is we have evidence of Andre the giant.....
That's the bottom line with science, isn't it?

Evidence.

Have you seen my Apple Challenge II thread?
I present to you an apple that was created ex nihilo.

How can you refuse to accept that --- without being wrong?
No evidence ... just an apple ex nihilo.

If you start a discussion with the premise that the conclusion must be true, you will fit all info and data into it no matter what is presented, regardless of how outlandish it may be....there is really no point of carry on such a discussion,....but like I said, all good mate :)

The bible?
Very good!

My Boolean Standards:
  1. Bible says X, science says X = go with X.
  2. Bible says X, science says Y = go with X.
  3. Bible says Ø, science says Y = go with Y.

In as far as science is limited to nonfiction, yes, it's "myopic." Once you consider ancient myths as reality, then all bets are off.
Except I'm willing to consider what science is saying about bottlenecking.

Are you willing to consider what it isn't saying?

Namely, that the antediluvian gene pool had 200 ingredients -- not 100?

Speaking of myths, what does the bible say about Neanderthal DNA?

Well, that's silly. Before you know it, Homo sapiens will start telling people the earth is really young, but made with reaaaaaaally old parts.
Do you mean existentially young, but physically old?

But we know what the Neanderthal are Biblically, don't we?
No, you don't. They went extinct over 40,000 years ago, that would be about 37,000 years before men wrote the bible.

Why do sub-Saharan Africans have no Neanderthal DNA, but all ethnicities that migrated out of Africa have 1-2% Neanderthal DNA?

No, you don't.
Actually I have an educated guess.

There is no such thing as "40,000 years ago."

You know why, don't you?

Haven't we discussed this before?

Didn't I say that if grave robbers paleoarchaeologists dug up King David's remains, they would probably mistake him for a Neanderthal or Cro-magnon?

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA *bangs table* hahahahahaha *cough cough* BAHAHAHAHAHAH

Oh wait, its AV, ...he's serious!
The universe was created in 4004 BC according to the Bible; not in 13,700,000 BC, according to science.
