  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What's your favorite color? Green, though blue is a close 2nd.

Favorite U.S. president (if you have one)? I know too much about U.S. history to love any of them, but I think LBJ was pretty great if I don't think about Vietnam. And FDR had his personal issues, but he seemed like a good president.

Favorite historical figure(s)? I find Eleanor Roosevelt, Queen Elizabeth I, Peter the Great, and Benjamin Franklin to be very interesting.

Do you believe Bigfoot exists? I'm open to the possibility.

Do minions have a union? And if so, is it a good one? :p Excellent question. :D Maybe they do.

Interesting... :D

If you could live in another country which would you choose?

Left or right handed?

Black jack or poker?

Favorite cereal?

Do you believe aliens exist and are they climbing in our windows and snatching our people up, trying to probe 'em? And if so, do we need to hide our kids, hide our wives, and hide our husbands 'cuz they probin' everybody out here?

If you could live in another country which would you choose? Well, Canada would be the most convenient and close to family, but I think I'd choose England. Every time I see pictures from that country, I practically drool because of the beautiful historical architecture. Though I'm not a fan of monarchies (other than in an "aren't they interesting" sort of way).

Left or right handed? Right handed.

Black jack or poker? Neither? I haven't played either game ever. I think I'd rather try blackjack though.

Favorite cereal? Depends if I'm trying to eat healthier. I love Lucky Charms, but it's just candy cereal really. Quaker Oat Bran is the yummiest cereal that leans toward healthy. If you haven't had QOA, it's like Life cereal but with more fiber and protein.

:D I used to consider it a possibility. I got really freaked out by the movie Fire in the Sky when I saw it as a teenager. Now I think that abduction and probing stories are probably psychological and not alien in nature. So, no, we don't need to hide our loved ones. :p (I am open the possibility that aliens exist, but more in a Star Trek sort of way.)

What's your favorite continent? Well, sadly, North America is the only continent I've had the chance to be on. I'd love to visit Europe/Asia, though.

And your favorite plant? Oak trees. I love trees and there are a lot of oak trees around here.

What do you most dislike eating? Probably most pig meat. I do eat ham sometimes, but I'd rather not and I do not like pork chops or other pork meals.

What kind of schools have you gone to? I've gone to public schools from pre-school to college graduation, with the exception of the one year I attended a Lutheran school for 6th grade (when I was 11/12).

Some of schools I liked (I went many different schools because we moved around a lot when I was growing up), while others were pretty bad in structure and some bullying. I've always liked school, in general, because I'm good at academics, but I wasn't so great socially (too shy/awkward) and really didn't like it for that reason.

I'm currently reading Soul of Christianity by Huston Smith and Exercising You Soul by Gary Jansen. And I'm about to add Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis to my current reads.

I'd kind of like a large loft apartment in a big city. If I had to choose one, I'd pick London. Or maybe a Victorian house in Raleigh, North Carolina.

I'll try to later when I have more time. To be honest, I've never written a haiku, so it'll take me a bit to get it sorted. Edited to add that this is probably the world's worst haiku, since I'm not a poet by any means, but here it is:

Walking down a trail
i see a silver tulip
it is beautiful

What would you do for a Klondike Bar?

How do you solve a problem like Maria?

Who was the last person you smiled at?

hmmmm I am running out of randomness....

Do you like to text or talk on the phone?

Do you listen to a new album all the way through in one sitting or do just put it on shuffle when you feel like listening to it?

When was the last time you had McDonalds?

Do you think everyone looks forward to Friday Friday Friday?

Not much. They don't seem all that special. :p

How do you solve a problem like Maria? I have no clue what this is in reference to. :sorry:

Who was the last person you smiled at? Probably my sister.

Do you like to text or talk on the phone? I prefer to avoid phones altogether. :D But I'd rather talk than text.

Do you listen to a new album all the way through in one sitting or do just put it on shuffle when you feel like listening to it? I'll usually listen to it all the way through.

When was the last time you had McDonalds? Um. I think in November.

Do you think everyone looks forward to Friday Friday Friday?
Only if they get weekends off. When I was getting paid to work (I like to think of what I do at the museum is work, even if they don't pay me) I had to work Saturdays as a bank teller, so Fridays weren't all that special. Actually I hated Fridays because they were the craziest days at work. But office job people probably love Fridays. Sorry, I take things too seriously. :D

:D the Maria one is a reference to Sound of Music. Thanks for answering my questions! I will return with more, and perhaps they will be slightly more serious this time ;)

Oh! I've seen that movie, too. :D
