Attended an orthodox service with my son at the church where the group from his Uni group attends.
Easier to understand the choir than the priest, in terms of follow the words. No order of service to follow, which would have made things easier.
People seemed to float in during the service, much like people do in Megachurches, whereas I grew up in small church where you made sure you were there 5 mins before the service, either to pray before service or quietly ready yourself for the Lord's table.
Whilst I can see how people find the space beautiful, for me it seemed a little garish. I supposed my aesthetic is different.
