Question about Judgement Day.....

I completely understand that there are people who believe "once saved, always saved" and those who believe you can lose your salvation. Been there, done that.

Romans 10:9 tells us how to be saved. Believe and confess. That's it. There are other things that should follow once the Christian walk has begun, but to be SAVED, that is all you have to do.

Romans 8:39 says that nothing is able to separate us from God's love.

John 10:29 says that no one can snatch us out of God's hand.

Hebrews 13:5 says God will never leave us or forsake us.

When God uses words like "nothing", "no one" and "never"... I believe Him.

Yes, there are people who go through the motions of becoming a believer and then fall away when hardships or temptations come along. That's not true salvation to begin with. Once you're God's child, you're His child, period.

Lorica - I won't argue the point with you. I just wanted to state my view, since you stated yours. Everyone has to decide for themselves, what they believe.

The best answers, in my opinion, for this op's question were given on this thread.

First, "believers do not face the white throne judgement of "judgement day". As all the sins of each believer are forgiven and "remembered no more" Believers are judged, only, for the good works they did for the body of Christ. Some will have nothing here. Some will have great rewards.

Second, you can say nothing, do nothing, pay nothing to be saved. Nothing you can do will save you. Only Christ can save you and all you have to "do" is be remorseful of your sins, and ask for forgiveness and His free gift of salvation.

I am of the camp that believes you can never lose this salvation.

Satan would love for you to believe that it is not simple and not permanent. Satan would love for you to believe that you have to keep doing, doing, doing doing. More more more... or you will be kicked to the curb.

Let me try to help clear up your confusion.

You asked what you could say on judgement day to be saved.

The answer is.... nothing.

By the time you meet you judgement from Christ in heaven, your fate will already be sealed.

If you have accepted Christ, you are saved and will be judged as a child of God who has been pardoned from all consequences of any of your sins.

If you are not saved and did not accept Christs gift of salvation, then you will be judged at the white throne judgement and found guilty of sin and sent to eternal separation from God.

Nothing you say after your death can save you.

Only acceptance of Christ free gift of salvation before your life on this earth ends can determine where you spend eternity.

Even after accepting Jesus into our heart we still sin. We are flawed humans. We will never be perfect in this life. However we (christians) are still going to heaven. Some may use that as an excuse to sin though. Its still important we ask God for forgiveness though because God asks us to. Sort of think of it as your dad that says "I love you, but I'd still like you to follow some rules!". Actually it is that situation, God is our Father.

Apart from the grace of Christ, you are completely and totally doomed, just like everyone else. There is no magic word, no phrase, no action you can take, only belief in salvation through Jesus the Son of God will save you. Relax or don't relax . . . it doesn't matter, only belief and trust in grace through Jesus matters.

How many of you guys are doing anything to prepare yourselves for the other Judgement? As a Christian, you're saved from the Great White Throne Judgement, but, Christians need to work and prepare for Jesus' return. I noticed one Christian here is aware of it.

All Christians are saved from the 2nd death, but not all are saved from the 1st death during the 2nd Coming.

*You are already forgiven, Christian in heaven aren't there to be condemned. You are forgiven because
of your faith in Christ.

The Word of God says we will give an account of ourselves (this isn't about determining salvation or getting forgiven
for sins. Christ has taken care of that.)

I suspect you maybe be struggling with scrupulosity?

We give an account--
This is in the Bible--- In 2 Corinthians 5:10 and here in Romans 14:
For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; 11 for it is written,
“As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall confess to God.”
12 So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.

Yes, we will give an account of our actions whether good or bad, this
isn't about Christians being condemned, we give an account of what
we have done after we are saved, we will be awarded for what we done
that's for the kingdom...remember the mentioning of various crowns
Christians available for Christians? The Christians who were martyred for
the faith will get a martyr's crown (for example.)

Some of the things we might be judged on are how well we obeyed the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20),
how victorious we were over sin-- Romans 6:1-4, and how well we controlled our tongues--James 3:1-9.

The Bible speaks of believers receiving crowns for different things based on how faithfully they served Christ--1 Corinthians 9:4-27; 2 Timothy 2:5.
The various crowns are described in 2 Timothy 2:5, 2 Timothy 4:8, James 1:12, 1 Peter 5:4, and Revelation 2:10.

James 1:12-- is a good summary of how we should think about the judgment seat of Christ:
“Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life
that God has promised to those who love him.”

A Christian is redeemed...

you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from

A Christian is justified.
“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with
God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1). To “justify” means to
“declare righteous.” All those who receive Jesus as Savior are “declared
righteous” by God.

A Christian is promised eternal life.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” --John 3:16.
Eternal life is a promise of eternity (forever) in heaven with God.

Nothing can remove a Christian from God’s hand --John 10:28-29.
God is both willing and able to guarantee and maintain the salvation
He has given us.
Jude 24-25, “To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you
before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—to the only God
our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord,
before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.”

You recognize you are a sinner--the only thing you seem not to recognize is that there is nothing you can say or do on your own to cover your sins and be worthy of standing in righteousness before God. Repent of this arrogance and humble yourself before God; confess that your salvation lies only in Christ's finished work upon the cross. Be found in Him on judgment day and your sins will be covered because He has paid the price for the sins of the world.

What you can say is this : ' Thank you God that you sent your son Jesus to save me of all my sins commited while on earth and im so thankful that I accepted him by faith alone for his atonement and resurrection which makes me right in your eyes ' . If this is what you have done , then God will welcome you into Heaven . If youre going to heaven, its because of only what Jesus has done for you...and not some accumulated Portfolio of trying to earn it by good works in conjunction with Jesus has partially done. Its either ALL JESUS or you don't make it in .

Yes, you will have to "give an account" of your life, but that is not in order to secure your forgiveness or condemnation; your status as a saved child of God is eternal and secure. But yes, there will be some sort of "review" of your life and the things you did.

To be precise, there will actually be 3 judgement: the first will be in Heaven by Jesus for the FirstFruit Christians during the Tribulation; the second will be at the end of the Tribulation before Jesus establishes His Millennium Kingdom on Earth and judges Christians and non-christians that survived the Tribulation; and the last judgement will be at the end of the Millennium by God for those that never accepted Jesus.

1st Judgement in Heaven (Rewards for those Raptured):

Bottom line, once you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you only escape the 3rd Judgement. That's Jesus' Gift of Salvation.

Christians need to work and strive for their rewards given by Jesus during the 1st Judgement in Heaven as advocated in Paul's doctrine throughout the New Testament. These rewards are great and eternal that last forever.

Or be left behind to face the Tribulation, the 2nd Judgement, and receive no reward. Unfortunately, many Christians will not partake in the Rapture.
