I'm working on my family tree, and I found out that its connected to Vicente Fox. Kind of cool in itself, but ive also found a lot more information about my actual family from this.

My question is, what is my relationship with him.

My Grandpa has a sister. (Bessie)

Bessie married somebody (Clifford)

Clifford has a grandpa. (Carl)

Carl's great great grandson is Vicente Fox.

I know I'm pushing my luck trying to make a connection, but would we be 5th cousins in law? Or maybe nothing since Carl is in no way related to me?

Techinically there's not quite enough info posted but,if vicente fox is the grandson from clifford's line then vicente fox would be your 2nd cousin and your father's first. If vicente fox is the grandson of a sibling of clifford, it changes again, and we really need more info to work it out. However, some would argue that this is not a direct relative of yours anyway because it comes from your great aunts marriage and therefore not the same bloodline as yours.

Assuming Clifford isn't Fox's grandson, then Fox would either be Clifford's great-nephew (if Fox's grandfather was Clifford's brother) or Clifford's first cousin, twice removed (if Fox's grandfather was Clifford's cousin).

The connection between you & Fox is so distant that it would be pushing it to put an actual label on it. Still, it must be interesting to have someone like that show up on a branch of the family tree. :)
