Hi Folks!
I was wanting to know if there was any warrant to the thought that the theme of this passage of Scripture given above finds its roots in the Messianic promise found here:
Any thoughts?
Justin

1 Peter 2:4-5
As you come to him, the living Stone--rejected by men by chosen by God and precious to him--you also are like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ (NIV)
I was wanting to know if there was any warrant to the thought that the theme of this passage of Scripture given above finds its roots in the Messianic promise found here:
2 Samuel 7:11b-13
The LORD declares to you that the LORD himself will establish a house for you: When your days are over and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to suceed you, who will come from your own body, and I will establish his kingdom. He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. (NIV)
Any thoughts?
Justin
