The lapsang was excellent but I do not recommend drinking it with a pipe.

If you like black tea, have you tried Awake from Tazo?
yes, Tazo is a nice brand, I do not know what kind of stores you like to shop at, but Target tends to have a wider veriaity of teas

i hate going to walmart or krogers or even giant eagle and seeing 4 or 5 differant brands of tea with no veriety
like 3 differant brands of breakfast tea
3 differant brands of green tea with citrus
liptons
PG tips or Chai (if your lucky)
and then some herbal teas....

anyways, if you like Tazo Awake, you might want to try just pure Assam tea, assam is the strong indian black tea that gets blended with cheaper teas to make "Breakfast Tea" this makes it less expesnive and tones down the harsh flavor so it is more palatable to the average tea drinker
plain Assam is not my standard tea, but it is nice to have every now and agian just to change it up
also, I would recomend paying a little bit more and buying a nice Assam, the cheap stuff is too bitter

I love lamb chops but never made a leg of lamb. Any recommended recipes, recipes that you have tried and enjoyed?

Thanks.

for leg of lamb, we have it every easter, kind of a family tradition
simple, to make, stick holes in it and put whole cloves of garlic in it, be generous with the garlic, rub the outside with chopped fresh rosemary, olive oil, salt and pepper, roast in the oven
I can not remember cooking times off the top of my head
serve with mint jelly if you feel so inclined
you could also make a kind of au jus or something with the drippings, simmer them in carrots, celery and onion to pick up on those rich flavors, add a lil more fresh herbs at the last minuet before you serve the sauce

mmmmmm have that with some young red potatoes in butter and dill
glazed carrots with a honey lavender sauce to add some sweetness, lamb kinda has a natural sweetness to it so glazed carrots might go well with that

Red Rose because its inexpensive and strong. 10 tea bags, some lemon to taste, 1 cup of sugar. I let it steep for about 30 min. before I remove the tea bags. Its strong and sweet.

...cold brew is good if you don't add sugar. When I was teaching karate or doing an all day training session I would toss some bags of Earl Grey in my water bottle the night before and just take them out in the morning. It allowed me to get the caffeine a few sips at a time without the sugar.

The lamb was alright. Tender due to the slow cooking but I used a lamb chop marinade so it was a little too much vinegar. Next time I'll pick up a leg of lamb and use it for stew.

No pipe today for me, had some Wednesday so I'm good until next week.
