  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thanks gordy. It's been a lot of hard work. Is that a reference to Pure Land in your sig?

Pure Land is a form of Buddhism that many believe was mixed with Nestorian Christian beliefs creating a "Buddha" who was also a redeemer. The Japanese have a few branches of Pure Land as well.

OSSU!

Yeah. The Nembutsu. I like mantras and chants. Nembutsu was one of my favourites over the years.

Still working on those books for you. The 'gatekeeper' is proving to be difficult. I'll report back soon.

How does it differ from regular Coors?

Rugby World Cup is on this weekend so I might need to pick up some refreshments.

It's the full Coors beer. Not Coors Light. Like Budwieser to Bud Light. It's actually pretty tasty. Don't really drink much beer but the Banquet beer is definitely one of the better 'common' ones imo.

Yeah. Beer's calorie to buzz ratio isn't that good.

Haha, I like that, "calorie to buzz ratio."

For example, Sailor Jerry's Spiced Rum is 69 calories per 1 oz. I never drink just one oz. of anything but two doubles has be clocking in at 276. It takes me 4 to 5 Warka beers to get the same buzzy, sleepy, relaxed feeling. Warka is 245 per pint. That means I would be drinking 980 calories!!! I enjoy Warka but not that much, not 704 more calories more.

I do recommend Warka though. It's good and inexpensive.

Sailor Jerry's Spiced Rum and a wee pinch of Trout Stream in my corn cob pipe tonight. The last bottle I bought had a nice, heavy weight shot glass with it. I'll post a pic of the set up tonight.

Peace.

Picked up a bottle of this today....

It was named 'Whiskey of the Year' by world renowned whiskey writer Jim Murray. He called it a 'masterpiece'.

Since then retailers have had a hard time keeping it on the shelf. It's sold out all over the place. I found a liquor store near my office that had 6 left. They only allowed 2 per person. Is it all hype? I guess I will find out when I get home!!
