  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was just being sarcastic.

yes it was just idle pub chatter. here in the pub we don't take things to seriously. ;)
I was not worried about any of you. I do worry about a lot of "churchgoers" that do not understand these things!

These are good opportunities to lay it all out for any to read. That was my first PUB post. I haven't spent much time in a pub (none drinking!) in the last 30 years. Excuse me if that was too SERIOUS for the setting. :)

Hi all!

Took me a while to find the pub! ehehe!
I like drinking a beer or two in weekends with friends but that's all I'm taking normally, nothing more. And coffee and tea? approved!

Wow. The legal drinking age is young in the Netherlands.

Yeah.. Many young people here start drinking at 16 and some even earlier. But the legal age is 18

Yesterday was my day off but spent it productively, did a lot of running around and cleaning the house for my wifey. At work today and I'm thinking I should try to mix up a Presbyterian tonight after dinner.

Any tips?

The recipes online usually say to use a highball glass filled with ice, 2 oz. of whiskey, equal parts club soda and ginger ale.

Yeah, I've got a definite caffeine addiction. I usually drink a couple of colas, right before I go to bed so I'll sleep better. My coffee tends to be pretty strong, too. I use about as much for one cup as some people use for a whole pot. I like to hit the forums with a steaming cup of coffee in one hand and the mouse in the other.
