I don't know. (why pastors are not priests (per se) ).

Look in SCRIPTURE as when reading it daily and see if
there is any pastor in the SCRIPTURE like most pastors and priests and religious leaders are today.

It is enlightening if GOD allows us to see.

It refers to our bodies being a temple of God like the Old Testament priests had a temple.
