You know and I know that gay dudes and dudettes were born that way, and that most people--whether religious or not--know that.
Still, there's that tiny minority that's giving us Jews and Christians a bad rap with this misinformation. The misinformation that gay dudes choose this lifestyle.

I will be voting for it. Of course, the governor should have told Ronald George and his three stooges to shove their ruling, since it is not rooted in the state or federal constitution, but that's what you get from a RINO.

I guess Holy Roller will speak for himself when he comes back online; however, it seems as though he's saying that HE believes that homosexuality is not a choice but innate. He's also saying that he believes people - whether they be Christian or not - really know that to be true. In other words he believes - it appears - that homosexuals are getting a bad rap from people who, deep down, really DO know better.

But if that was the case, then why would they want to pass Prop 8 that would prevent people that have no choice (I.E. They are born that way) from getting married ?

The 14th amendment says:
All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Equal protection includes minorities. And as the Supreme court ruled in Romer vs. Evans it covers all minorities even the unpopular ones.


The amendment has been applied to various issues of civil rights including interracial marriage. It was also used to end segregation, it was used ot overturn laws baring minorities from serving on juries.
The Supreme Court also used the Fourteenth Amendment's Due Process Clause as providing substantive protection to private contracts…such as marraige

Like I said, there is nothing about gay "marriage" there. Your assertion to the contrary is especially ridiculous considering that sodomy laws were on the books before, during, and after the 14th amendment was ratified.

I suggest reading for comprehension next time.

Why? In what way does official recognition effect you in ANYway?

If I own a business, say, then idiot judges like the four who forced gay "marriage" on us would rule (actually, have ruled) that I have to treat gay "marriages" the same as real marriages. They have no business forcing that nonsense on me or anyone else who disagrees with it.

Not so. I believe it's a personal thing. You would still object whether homosexual unions were officially recognized or not.

I would object but I would ignore their pseudo-marriages.
