Even if it's not a "debate" thread and I have a question, I'm going to raise it. Kinda my style I guess, sorry. If something is really of God, it will stand no matter what, so I will continue to ask questions and try to figure things out, expecially when it involves something important like communications directly from God, speaking as a prophet, and someones spiritual well being.

Could another prophet judge the prophecy i gave our sister a couple pages back?

1cor 14

29Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

30If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.
31For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. 32And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets

Here it is:

Yes, my daughter, I have called you to be an intercessor for those around you, and for ministry, the backbone of a powerful ministry is intercessory prayer.

Through this prayer gift, I will develop the prophetic gift, for surely I have called you to prophesy. As I show you things, be not afraid to share.

Be filled this day with my Holy Spirit,

Says the Lord!

I've gotten words in my life that I'd be a prayer warrior. I'm not good at it. Something is holding me back. The things about doubt and fear were right on too. I got a word for a friend the other day and I was scared to tell him. But I did and he was blessed by it.

Didn't see your post Spiritlead...

I have no problems at all with anyone praying for me.

Pray for me and my daughter as well, if you all dont mind

When I say we'll pray for you Vincet, I mean we will not only pray for you for your general well being in God , but also for a word of prophesy for you, amen?

And also for you and daughter, Rod

?

Then, let me or anyone else who gives a Word, know if it makes sense or if its confirmation .

And then other prophets judge it

Knownbeforetime - when I was reading your post, i got a very clear picture of a hermit crab.
This crab is happy and protected in its shell. But there comes a time when it is ready to grow. The shell can't grow - so the crab has to come out of it. Outside, it is very vulnerable and unprotected - until it finds a larger shell, where it can be safe.
I think that perhaps you are afraid to come out of your shell - afraid to be vulnerable.
But - when you do, you will grow!! And God will provide you with protection!

God bless you.

This is my whole life right there. Most people are born naked, I was born with a concrete shell around me.

I have no problems at all with anyone praying for me.

A prophetic discussion thread has been opened up which might be useful for you to raise the issues that you want to raise.

I don't have any problem with your issues, and I am enjoying our discussions. Life would be boring if we all just agreed with each other.

By the way, I am not a self proclaimed prophet. I am not a prophet at all. What has been prophesied over me is that I am teacher in the body of Christ.

If I do in fact have a prophetic ministry, that decision has come from the people who have received the words that I have given them and who have recognised that the Holy Spirit has spoken to them through those words.

I can prophesy until the cows come home, but if the Holy Spirit doesn't speak to anyone through my words, then I am just speaking empty words - aren't I?

Oh, that reminds me...

Some of the most powerful prophecies I have ever heard have come from people who have said, "I don't really know if this is what God is saying to you, but...."

This shows me that we don't always have to be completely sure that the seed thought that we have actually comes from God, but as we give the word through our faith and obedience, the Holy Spirit somehow makes that word come alive in the person who is meant to receive it. That is one of the mysteries of the prophetic. But the key in giving prophecy is: faith and obedience.

Conversely, some of the worst errors have come from people who have felt they were absolutely certain that they had a word from God and have boldly started their prophecies with "This Saith The Lord...etc" Bears thinking seriously about.

Questions are always welcome, because that is the way we learn about the prophetic.

I'll check it out.

Cool.

Some of the most powerful prophecies I have ever heard have come from people who have said, "I don't really know if this is what God is saying to you, but...."
I can handle it better when someone qualifies a statement with something like "I think this is what God is telling me......" This at least leaves the option of a mistake open.

But if your going to say "God told me" or "Thus saith the Lord", I have a harder time accepting it because you are claiming to speak directly from God and thus cannot be wrong. And if you do this, you are claiming that your words are on the same level as scripture. That's why I have a hard time buying the "God told me" or "Thus says the Lord" statements.

Conversely, some of the worst errors have come from people who have felt they were absolutely certain that they had a word from God and have boldly started their prophecies with "This Saith The Lord...etc" Bears thinking seriously about.
Exactly. And that's my beef too.

I love fellowshiping with you guys in this way. You give good discussions and address the issues in a brotherly way in an attitude that we are all searching for better ways to serve the Lord.

Blessings to you. Looking foward to our next time of fellowship.
