2 Ti. 4:2-3
Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season; Reprove,Rebuke,Exhort with all longsufering and doctrine.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine : But after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves Teachers ; having itching ears.

Oooh, I'm glad I've missed out on all this. I don't like strife and contention one bit, so I stay far away, so far I didn't know it was still going on!

Truly it is not a laughing matter. We're walking as mere men if there is strife and contention, as babes in Christ. It is time for us to leave those childish things behind and grow up into His full stature.

Yes, let's pray.

Father, forgive us our sin. Forgive us here as we have grieved you in our contentions, one saying He is of Apollos and another Paul, in essence. Help each one to stir up the love You have already shed abroad in our hearts. May we be busy provoking one another to love and to good works, not busy in seeking division and strife. May there be respect where there are differences until You bring us into the unity of the faith.

The foundation of God stands firm and sure. The Lord knows those who belong to Him. He can see your heart. He knows what you have need of even before you ask Him. He has already said that if you delight yourself in Him, He will give you the desires of your heart. I receive that word as the truth. It is an encouragement to me. Thank you for giving it.

Would anyone have a word from the Lord for my twin brother who loves the Lord, yet is experiencing some very difficult times financially, spiritually, and emotionally in large part due to the fact that he holds down a demanding 40 hour job, then goes home to care for an unemployable, disabled (degenerative bone disease) wife. He is down much of the time. Please, if someone can hear God's voice in this matter, please present it. His name is Dennis.

spiritlead those around you need even more than the words God has given you to teach them. They need to see your heart in all things you do. Yes you teach them about Love but put an extra effort into them not only hearing but seeing and feeling Love. God has blessed you greatly and now you must constantly work toward matching your actions with Gods Word. God has given me to remind you and to seal in your mind and heart 1Cor.13:4-7 as a gauge in your actions around those who God has placed in your care. May God be with you in all you do. I think people have the wrong impression about what prophetic words are all about. They are not there to clue you in as to who you will marry or where you are supposed to go to church. In fact they are not aimed at you mind at all. They are aimed at your spirit with the intention that the words will be engrafted into your spirit and reside there as "faith"... or what I call your "logosystem."
This is a primary means for the Word to be spread around in the body of Christ.
You receive the word via the speaking forth from the spirit of Christ in others, you then go forth and do the same. The word therefore moves from one person to another.

I think what dids is trying to say visually is a prophetic word is much like a spirialing circle when the line starts at the center and spirals around growing larger and larger. This is how a prophetic word acts the word is given and the word moves - spirials throughout the entire Body bringing edification and comfort and growth to many..

I agree. The primary lession we learned in our Prophetic Equipping Days is that we do not deal with hatches, matches, and dispatches. These type of prophecies have all sorts of fish hooks in them, and they can come back and bite you if things go wrong. Some prophetic ministries have been totally destroyed because these types of prophecies were given. A person with the gift of prophecy is not a personal horoscope for those who have difficulties communicating with the Lord in their private times.

While I agree I do not agree totaly I have known of people getting very specific words of prophesey that were without doubt from God. However even then I ussually find that is confirmatory not initiative.two examples my sister was considering taking on teaching a sunday school class someone came up to her and said " the children ahh the children" the speaker thought it was a prophesey about pregnancy but my sister knew imediately she was to teach. another time my pastor went to a meeting where a man with prophetic gift was talking he went through and gave every person a verse of scripture each person was shocked Pastor was smugly thinking what could he possibly give me there is nothing. He gave him a scripture that pastor had wakened out of a sleep in the night to look up. In the first example God chose to confirm a decision. In the second to confirm the acuracy that this man was speaking for God.As this is the biblical standard to test a prophet.
