I think it's more a word of edification, because I havent gotten anything further, and I am not going "to make something" so it sounds better.

Sorry! Maybe God will reveal more to you later.
If you look back a few pages and see my response to kingskid's word, you'll see what my response is. I think you're on it, but I'm not accepting it mentally. My heart's fuzzy, too, but I'm used to that. :) It is a good word. And timely, too.

then so be it....

Sorry this didn't to witness to you.
but maybe it will in the future.
I appreciate your honesty...but I can only say what God placed in my heart. I would give the word again...if that was what I heard in my Spirit. it may have been wrong...but I did nothing wrong...for I spoke out of faith.
I just wanted you....and felt God wanting you to be blessed.

I love you with the Love of the Lord....and hope you get something from the Lord that will indeed bless you.AMEN!!!!
Well, thank you for taking the time to tell me what you heard.

Maybe someone else would have a word for me? (It would be nice if God would speak to me Himself but he seems rather silent when I'm around...)

but i don't really understand why and how why should u judge someone elses word that is for someone else and how can you judge a word from God because if it is of God it doesn't need to be judged lol

Here, from scripture, is your answer.
29Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said. 30If a revelation is made to another sitting there, let the first be silent. 31For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all be encouraged, 32and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets. 33For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.

(1 Cor. 14)
Now, in all actuality, there really hasn't been much actual prophesying on this thread, mostly just "inspired speech" which would fall under the heading of either a word of wisdom, word of knowledge, or just a general word of edification with inspired overtones. While the best judge of a personal prophecy is the person themselves, there are also many, many instances when another prophet or believer would be able to see clearly that the "word" was not of God, such as if the "word" were to try to direct the person to do a certain thing that God had not already spoken to them directly about, or if the "word" contradicted the Bible.

Accountability is something that has been lacking in my life in many areas and I have, by God's grace, been able to keep from any major pitfalls that could and usually do arise when there is no real accountability in the life of a Believer. It is with this in mind that I stress to any and all Believers that they must be accountable to a church body, another, stronger believer, an elder in their church, or their pastor. There are no solo acts in the Kingdom of God. We are a body, just like the Human Body, and we cannot function properly by ourselves. This is the reason for the rule. It is Biblical, and it is a Kingdom Law (so to speak). If you were to violate that law too often for too long, it is certainly possible that you could fall into error and do much, much damage to the Body. I hope this answers your question.

Hi Heather,

I'm just wondering if the Lord has more to say about my situation with that brother in my church?

I still meditate on that other word you gave me. I'm just wondering if there's more? :)
I will most definately pray and see if God has anything more to say.:)

Just as a reminder, if you are hesistant or unable to recieve it at this time, it is most likely in reference to something in the future. Not all prophetic words are for the NOW sense of time.

But then again, I may have missed it, and am willing to be "sharpened" that I may better tune my ears to what God is speaking.

I feel that this is most definately a valuble experiance to you and I both, me in learning to discern the utterings of the spirit better, and you being able to "interpret" whether a word for you is applicable or not.

Back to the eagles!
This is something God is saying to me - but I felt led to post it - so perhaps it is for others too!

"You will soar up on wings like the eagle"
When a baby eagle is ready to learn to fly, its mother pushes it out of its safe nest, and onto a ledge on the cliff where she nests.
Then, she pushes it over the edge of the cliff! The baby flaps desperately, but its wings are not strong enough yet to fly. Then the mother eagle flies beneath the little one, and catches it on her wings, and carries it up.

Sometimes, when God pushes us out of our comfort zone, our safe nest, we flap and panic like the baby eagle, trying to do it ourselves. But God is underneath, to catch us, and lift us up to the heights!! He is teaching us! We don't have to do it ourselves, just to rely on Him, and let Him lift us up.
God stirs up our nest so that we can learn what we can do through Him. Its time to get out of the nest and learn to soar.

God bless you all.

That was for me, as well. I think it's time for a lot of us to start soaring. God's move is at hand.

Steven turn to 1Cor.13:4-7 this defines Love by 12 manners learn them and maybe even carry a little card with you with the manners of Love written on it and in everything you say and do try to abide within the manners of Love in doing so you will be walking with God . God is Love according to His Word. Christ is our example of Love applied to man. How can we Love our neighbor , how can we Love God and not know Love--we must know what Love is and try to walk--adide in the chacteristics of Love. It works Steven try it.

How can I grow SO close to God that I feel Him flowing through me all the time?? I'm broken and desperate...
That's a good start!
God has to bring us to the end of ourselves before we can totally rely on Him! Hang in there, brother,He is working in you!

Exodus 14:13
Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today.

Praying for you!

This is great! I clicked on this thread earlier tonight and it opened straight at this post. This is just what I needed to hear.

Not only that, but I couldn't think what I'd posted in this thread to make it one of my subscribed threads. So I started at the beginning and looked through. This is such an encouraging and inspiring thread, and some of the words have blessed and moved me. I hope that's ok, because they were actually directed at other people.

Anyway, I'm going to stand on the above word - from Isaiah 40:31, and which I have memorised. Thank you.

Thanks to all who posted it means a lot to me...i just wish i could build others up and help them grow..i like doing things for other people..

This is going to be a small testamony - no prophecy I hope that's fine here as well ;)

I was and to a certain extent still am in the same situation you are in right now. I've always been a Christian but grew totally cold because I was never told that your Christian walk can be personal, can be more than reading a book and obeying rules. Well I heard one day a sermon and that pastor just told something what he had experienced with the lord (I think he just said that the lord told him something or so *g*). I was struck. I mean that person said, that we can experience god on a personal day by day basis - I was consumed by a strong longing to go after the lord. I started getting tapes of those who experience those things and started pressing into the lord.
About 5 months later I had learned, that god can do everything and wants to do everything in order to make people well. I started having a strong desire, to help everybody who was broken. Whenever I read a post in a forum or saw a person that had a problem I thought "Oh man I wanna help them. How easy would it be - a quick word of the lord, laying on of hands, power of god and healed they are". Sadly enough I was too insecure ever to do anything like that because I never experienced anybody being healed through me, I had never heard god's voice up to that point (or was still very insecure at that time at discerning) and never ever even told anyone about the lord. What I did was I kept growing. I listened to sermons, read in the bible (way too little), prayed, praised the lord, went to church and bible studies.
Today I've experienced several things with the lord and he used me a couple of times to help others. In Joyce Meyers words "I'm not where I want to be but THANK GOD I'm not where I used to be"
What I want to say is that I believe that we grow into the lord and in the lord. With growth he works more and more through us.

What you can do is:
- Press into the lord by prayer, worship, reading THE book, reading other books and listening to sermons, fellowship with others
- practise and read in the bible about the things you want to be used in by the lord (i.e. prophecy)
- Don't be such a coward like I am (Working on that) and step out there. You can pray for people (For instance I started by praying for other Christians even Christian family members.)

Matthew 7, 7 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

I can tell you it works ;-)

No place to call home.
My head rests on a log.
My eyes wonder.
But cant see for the fog.

My mind travels.
To another time.
To another place.

Setting at a table.
My Loved one i face.
With the noise of the children.
A smile comes upon her face.

No place to call home.
My head rests on a log.
My eyes wonder.
But cant see for the fog.

My mind travels
To another time.
To another place.

I sit in a chair.
With my head hung low.
Holding her hand.
As i watch her go.
To another time.
To another place.
As i watch her take her last breath.
A smile comes upon her face.

No place to call home.
My head rests on a log.
My eyes wonder.
But cant see for the fog.

My mind travels.
To another time.
To another place.

I watch as my children.
Move on with their lives.
To busy to notice.
Its now my time to die.

No place to call home.
My head rests on a log.
My eyes wonder.
But cant see for the fog.

A bright light appears.
At the edge of the trees.
I know i am not alone.
There is an Angel with me.
He walks near.
Kneeling at the log.
He wispers in my ear.
Its time to come home.
My legs feel suddenly strong.
As i raise from the log.
And step out of the fog.

My home i can see.
Surrounded by light.
The angel wispers.
Your Loved one awaits.
With a smile upon her face.

I quickly kiss the cheek.
Of the Angel of light.
Knowing i have just walked home.
With the one they call
CHRIST !!
