It's from God... how could I tire of them? That's just me anyhowDoes anyone get tired of receiving prophetic words? I think I'm desensitized to them. Most of the ones I get have to do with some great destiny ahead of me. I get it. What I want more is to actually feel the presence of the One giving the utterance.

Praising god for that word spiritlead.
There is much wisdom and love I have imparted to you that I may use in the way that others may learn how much I love them. Wasn't it from the many nights you shed your tears that I never failed to impart wisdom and knowledge to heal your wounds?
You have learned well and because of this, I can use you as a bearer worthy of the oil that heals those who have been wounded deeply because of the enemy's deceptive lies and lure to the pleasures that are not pleasing to the Father. Even though they may not be pleasing, you know and understand the Father that He is forgiving and loving.
You have learned well. You have accomplished much and you listen well to the voice that the sheep recognize as the Master's voice. Continue in the way I have shown you and continue to be that example of what a disciple is who has been well disciplined and because you are a disciple, you can tell others in times of need that as they continue in my word, they will become as you have become and they will know the truth and the truth shall make them free.

I am not so much jaded by getting a word in general, as I am the fact that they always seem so vague and like they could be said to anybody. I want to hear God say something to me personally, not just something that could be said to me among others. The Bible is completely sufficient for the later, but the former I truly wish for more.Does anyone get tired of receiving prophetic words? I think I'm desensitized to them. Knownbeforetime, I understand what you are saying. I get the sense, not from prophecy, but from reading your posts that you have been through something really hard and that you nave shut off alot of your emotions because of if. The problem with that is that if you don't feel things in general, you also won't feel the presence of God. In praying for you in the past, I know that God wants you to feel His presence and experience His love personally, and He also wants to heal you. Not to just give you another word to toss on the pile with all the rest, I got an image of a flower growing out of a crack in concrete and as it was growing it too was becoming concrete and not looking very healthy, then the sun came out and the concrete melted away revealing a beautiful flower that grew stronger and more beautiful.Does anyone get tired of receiving prophetic words? I don't know about any trauma but I do know that I have been this way for a long time (as in, since I was born). I don't know how to shake it. I was talking to someone the other day that said that they suffered depression for 15 years before being set free. 15 years is a huge chunk of time! It scares me to death that I may be like this for another 15 years before God finally does something or puts the right people or resources in my life.Knownbeforetime, I understand what you are saying. Being someone who went through the process of suppressing emotions because of trauma and then learning to feel again, I get the idea that you may be in a similar boat as me. If this is way off then disregaurd it, but I do get the feeling that the image was for you.
The other image that I saw was a little more brutal, but I think it may have also been for you. It was the image of an arm whose hand had been chopped off. I then saw the hand regrow by God's power.

1 Timothy 1:17-21
All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen.
Timothys Responsibility
18 Timothy, my son, here are my instructions for you, based on the prophetic words spoken about you earlier. May they help you fight well in the Lords battles. 19 Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.
the Bible says that we are not to despise prophesying...
Thessalonians 5:19-21
Do not stifle the Holy Spirit. Do not scoff at prophecies, but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.
so, in answer to that question, i would say "no".
and when we get a word, we have a part in it. we don't just sit by passively and let somebody speak over us, and if we do get a word, we don't just sit by and wait for it to come to pass. we have to keep on walking with God on the path He has chosen for us, if we don't know which way to go, then He wants us to ask, and keep asking until He reveals it to us. He wants us to know!
what we are supposed to do is first of all, make sure that what we are hearing is really from God, and not just somebody saying what they believe is from God. i don't go anywhere looking for a word, and i always listen to the Lord to make sure that He intends for the person to speak over me. i learned this the hard way! but through experience i have developed the ability to know beforehand if somebody has a word for me, or not. the second thing we are supposed to do, is listen carefully (my pastor says listen with both eyes open) to what is being said, and write it down. if it is recorded, so much the better. take it and let your pastor listen to it. then, pray and seek God's will for your life. true prophecy is just speaking God's will over another person's life, there is a path to get there. it is always predicated on us doing what we are supposed to to, to get where we are supposed to go. if God said you would be published, and you are a writer, then keep writing, keep praying, and pray for God to send the right people in your pathway, according to his will.
God makes His presence known to us when He chooses to. but as we continue to seek Him, He will do what is best for us.
i think this is a good article on prophecy:
