Prophetic practice thread (2)

Look at the top of each post of the people who asked for a word and you will see that they state they are a deciple of Jesus Christ.
As such, as deciples there salvation is set.
They are sons and daughters of God they each have the Holy Spirit within them.
They have victory in their hands because they are in the hands of Jesus Christ.
Gods Glory surrounds them, the angels of the Lord surrounds them.
Victory is theirs.
satan gets them down, man gets them down, doubt gets them down, strife and contention gets them down. And sometimes when discouraged for a moment they lose sight of the Glory of the joy of the Victory that is theirs that no one can touch.
And in this moment of discouragment , on this cloudy day they reach out to who they know is their brothers and sisters and ask for a word from the Holy Spirit. They recive it shake the dust of discouragment and doubt and replace the dust with Truth, with Glory and with Victory brother with VICTORY !!

So no one has a tough word of the Lord coming? Thats what i get form your answer. This to me seems very impracticle when compared to real life

I dont know about others but the Holy Spirit does a wonderful job convicting my heart when i error in my walk !! I try to be obident to God and as to date i have been given nothing from God to deliver to another deciple that is convicting. I must admit the old man that i was that i try daily to put away at times is not only convicting but can be judgemental as well. when this happens it isnt Gods Words they are words of error uttered from a deciple in error reconized by the conviction of the Holy Spirit and forgiven by a Loving God. !!

When we read prophecies in the old and the new testaments, note them... What would you say is the percentage or prophecies telling people to repent because of the evil to come?

I sorta hafta agree that the "prophesies" are not much more than feel good things. Nothing compared to the doom and gloom Rod used to post. So, I don't think a "time" is needed for Rod to respond or not, just seems silly and why a time out? hmmn

I see examples of many different types and service of the gift of prophecy each seemed to have a specific type of ministry each uniquly different like fingers on a hand but what they did have in common was Obidence and Love !!
brother i dont know if you are right or wrong or if i am right or wrong what i do know is obidence and i will deliver whatever God gives me to deliver if today its words that edify i will be obident if tomorrow its words that warn or convict i will be obident and deliver that as well.
One thing we both know is that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour and that we are brothers searching for Truth , Loving God and Loving those around us and being obident to what God gives us to do as would any servent who Loves his master.
We are brothers wrestling for Truth Gods Truth !!

There are many examples in the ot when we are told they were filled with the spirit or the spirit came upon them, or they were before the very throne of God. The book of revelation is entirely new testament but apocolyptic, so i dont see where your point here has merit. No offence meant at all

My point is that what i read here is entirely positive and good feelings and praise, but this isnt consistant with the word of the Lord delivered in the scriptures imo.

What we see in scripture is warning of the wrath to some and the adm=onishment to repent, in nearly every age of prophecy

On any given day there is more rebuke than Love. Maybe just maybe God sees this as well and is responding as needed.
At the end of the day its not about who proved who wrong or right its about Loving someone enough and reaching out grabing a stumbling stone that rests before our brothers and sisters placing our hands upon that stone and casting it to the side. Praise the Lord God at times provides us with words to do just that !!

Brother i hear what you are saying now hear what i am saying the people here on this thread asking for a word are Deciples of Christ whos salvation is set.
They are asking for a word because they are beat down by the world and by uncaring brothers and sisters .
They are reachiong out for encouragment and yet you are saying when they reach for water give them vinager. Would you slap your son or daughters hand when they reach out for help ?? Would God ??
Now if someone comes to this thread and they are unsaved thus not being a son or daughter of God then i could almost guarentee you the message God would give to be delivered is exactly what you are seeking.

They remind me to be happy with God more when times are bad and hard ...they just remind me that I am His..
