It is Satanic to call that which is good evil and that which is evil good. Indeed, it is the denial of authentic truth, or authentic witness. And so with the discipline, that those pure should comprehend and those without the blessing should seek it.

...

At a cultural level, the Encyclical proceeds, the possibilities for interaction open new prospects for dialogue, but a twofold danger exists: a "cultural eclecticism" in which cultures are viewed as "substantially equivalent", and the opposing danger of "cultural levelling and indiscriminate acceptance of types of conduct and lifestyles". In this context Pope Benedict also mentions the scandal of hunger and express his hope for "equitable agrarian reform in developing countries".

...

The Pope also makes reference to the principle of subsidiarity, which assists the human person "via the autonomy of intermediate bodies". Subsidiarity, he explains, "is the most effective antidote against any form of all-encompassing welfare state" and is "particularly well-suited to managing globalisation and directing it towards authentic human development".

...
(As an aside: Despite the existence of a summary (http://212.77.1.245/news_services/press/vis/dinamiche/c2_en.htm) designed, it seems, to counteract the most spurious claims about the encyclical, the trashing is still alive and well)

One wonders if it is the attempt at addressing complexity of those who cannot reasonably, as a group, achieve non-discriminatory complexity that is unjust power.

And finally:

Deut 1:17

Douay-Rheims Bible
There shall be no difference of persons, you shall hear the little as well as the great: neither shall you respect any man's person, because it is the judgment of God. And if any thing seem hard to you, refer it to me, and I will hear it.

Romans 3:
5 But if our injustice commend the justice of God, what shall we say? Is God unjust, who executeth wrath? 6 (I speak according to man.) God forbid: otherwise how shall God judge this world? 7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie, unto his glory, why am I also yet judged as a sinner? 8 And not rather (as we are slandered, and as some affirm that we say) let us do evil, that there may come good? whose damnation is just.

Mark 13:11
Douay-Rheims Bible
And when they shall lead you and deliver you up, be not thoughtful beforehand what you shall speak; but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye. For it is not you that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

Psalms 1:5
Douay-Rheims Bible
Therefore the wicked shall not rise again in judgment: nor sinners in the council of the just.

Proverbs 2
7 He will keep the salvation of the righteous, and protect them that walk in simplicity.
8 Keeping the paths of justice, and guarding the ways of saints.
9 Then shalt thou understand justice, and judgment, and equity, and every good path.

Does anyone have a word of encouragement for me. I am trying to be there and help one of my friends out but it's getting to the point that I don't think I can say anything else, just have to sit back and pray. THanks for the word of encouragement I appericate it:)

Hello

I am really in need of a word about a few things, about how to tell the true difference between a lifelone desire and a true calling. Also I wonder how come some gifts come easier then others like dreaming is easier than like singing or like playing a guitar/flute/piano/etc.?

Why do you think dreaming is easy?

Come into reality... The reality that Jesus Christ visited mankind. There is a reality here, that you have been given a talent, and you need to spend it wisely. What should you learn... what should you devote your life to?

Encouragement: (I thought of this passage, but wasn't sure, until I prayed, and then heard it much later in the day on EWTN!)

Matthew 25:
34 Then shall the king say to them that shall be on his right hand: Come, ye blessed of my Father, possess you the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in: 36 Naked, and you covered me: sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came to me. 37 Then shall the just answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, and fed thee; thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 And when did we see thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and covered thee? 39 Or when did we see thee sick or in prison, and came to thee? 40 And the king answering, shall say to them: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me.

I guess I say that because I don't necceasrily do anything to bring about the dreaming. I mean I practice understanding what it's okay. But, when it comes to playing the keyboard it seems harder. But, I think am understanding it now. I prayed as well as talked to a friend so I am encouraged now.

Good Evening everyone, I am really glad this site is here. I'm writing today because I need confirmation on a subject that keeps seeming to come up. Baptism, i feel like I need to get baptized in water "again". I say that because I was baptized at 12 but I really never started living for the Lord because our church didn't really have anything for the young folks and college kind of led me down a different path. Feeling like I need to get baptized again but I want to make sure thats not just my flesh trying to get attention on me or if it really is God calling for this. I have been putting it off but don't feel like I should anymore. If someone gets a word I'd really be thankful on some confirmation.

Just have aquestion for you, have you ever been baptised by the holy spirit? But, I don't think there is anything wrong with getting baptized again. It's almost a symbolism of the old man dying and the new man coming to lie.
No I have not. Its something I'm expecting one day though

Oh okay, my personally thing/ what I am feeling right now, is that if it's a desire of your hear to be rebaptized but it's not something that you have to do as ran as I know of. Lord as you repent (which literally means to turn from our ways) and start walking the way God wants you to if you have already. After doing so, it will help bring you back on track. But sometimes people like the idea of physically starting over by going to the water and getting recleansed but it's a personal choice I believe. I can say that it defin. won't hurt to do so.

Peace... seek peace.. if you are troubled over this and there is no peace.. then this is not for you.. Peace is our guide.. and it is an absence of having to worry or be anxious or troubled.. Your life is your greatest wittness.. how you live before others.. You obviously have a genuine heart because you are seeking to show a good wittness.. GOD sees your heart.. because HE does not look at the outward appearance.. Before HIM you can be at peace.... there is now no condemnation in and through CHRIST JESUS!!

Let your light so shine before men that they see your good deeds and praise your father who is in heaven.. Matthew 5:16
