CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

God gives me a laugh sometimes! I was just reading through Proverbs and I noticed this verse "Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred." Lol, i'm a vegetarian and I often cop an earful about it from many people. It was just funny to read that an be encouraged!!!
BTW. I'm not implying that God tells us we should be vegetarian or that there is anything wrong with eating meat.

God is really working, what He is doing is still a mystery. We finally found a church home, one where we can speak the things of God and not be attacked for it. Two (at least) of the people there are "pushing" my husband to look for another church and interested in helping him find one. My husband on the other hand, doesn't think God is calling him back to a church. The end result is that we are working on starting another ministry that could be a massive, big deal. In the meantime, we have actually found a Sen. for our state whose working declared that we all need to be treated with dignity, which is a first for us. Wow! So much more I could tell you all, but alas, I need to get busy.
May you each know the Love of our Lord, may you see Him and not just the cross on which He died.

36a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.
Our strength will need to be compounded and doubled every day to stand against the enemy that tries to divide us as brothers and sisters in Christ.
I thank God for Christians that come together and lift each other up. Praise His name!

so many people don't believe there is persecution here in the US. We have lived it, we know for fact it exists. Unfortunately it often (not always) is found in the church. It is a very sad thing indeed. However, we cannot testify to the evil in the world without also testifying of God's wonders and powers to overcome. He has protected us against physical asults as well as emotional ones. Things that break the heart of our current pastor. (He is a great guy.) Strength can be found, the strength to endure is within us, and His name is the Lord Jesus Christ. For in my weakness, He is made strong.
May you know His strength this day, may He sustain you and make you fruitful in your labor.

I need to tell someone this because it will make me feel better...hahaha... so I'll tell the world...LOL
The devil has been on my back the past few days. I fell into a temptation. I listened to the devil and not God. I wasn't listening to the Holy Ghost. Last night, I did some repentin' and Praise God I'm forgiven. WOOOOOO!
Last night when I was repenting He reminded me of what a Prophet told me back in Jan. about how He's gonna be working with my heart and changing things and that I'm going to see a ministry develop. Then it clicked in my head, "Why live in this sin? Why do I keep listening to the devil? If I keep listening to the the devil, that lier, I'm never going to fulfill what God has planned for me in my life."
So, I'm going to fulfill my calling and do God's will on earth as it is in Heaven and quit listenin' to that stupid lying devil. HALLELUJAH!
Ok I feel better. Thanks for reading! I really appreciate it.

i know it can be hard but i'll tell you somthing that helped me, leaving an open door to the devil is not a good thing. it can do as much damage as having a saonce if the devil realy after you is after you, so be careful and don't worry cause god has enough grace to cover your sins,love covers a multitude of sins.

I'm proud of you Josh, for confessing you got it wrong before all of us, well here goes my own confession, today I traveled in a taxi and I was witnessing to the taxi driver who was skeptical and the Lord said to me to tell him he has been married 35 years and I played dumb in case I got it wrong, but that came from the Lord, so I repent of getting it wrong too.
Jesus said we should hear His voice and follow Him.

Irene...Wondering if something is the word of God or the ramblings of our busy mind is a fight we all fight. Just take it as a life lesson and move past it. Receive forgiveness and be blessed.
All of you here are doing such a blessed job in Christ! How fantastic it is to see such gifts being used for the betterment of the kingdom.
As for me... I owe you all an apology as well. Not long ago many of you were venting about your personal circumstances and I boldly posted against it and gave everyone the "buck up and get with it" talk. I know that I am a bit overpowering in my fervor of the Lord. I forget that others aren't the crusty old bird that I am and I probably offended some. For that I offer an apology. Let me humble myself to you and to my Lord.
