  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Today, in church, we had a bus load of street kids from the inner city of Toronto. What an inspiration they were. I mean, these are homeless kids, going through ALOT...and yet they stood and praised God...and the most inspiring was hearing them testify how God supplies ALL their needs. These are street kids...man. It was awesome. God is SO good and faithful.

Okay sis...I prayed for you to come out of your sadness...and then you made me cry by telling what you saw in church!

Glory to God in the Highest that yet in what we cannot see and understand in the natural...HE shows us...WHAT THE POWER OF HIS LOVE CAN DO, AMEN! :cry: but, they are happy tears of joy at what is possible to our Lord! :hug: to you sis...and may HIS joy overflow your heart, amen!

Woah. I can't believe I forgot to mention one more thing in my huge paragraph on the last page.

The girl over worship also said (when she was talking about me in front of the congregation)..."We all need to be more like Josh in our worship." (That's after she said, "He really doesn't seem to care what others think about him when he worships."

I believe it is Psalm 23, that we "used" to say in school everyday! And, it has "always" been a favorite of mine too!

And, Irene I am agreeing with Josh...lovely writings sis..they are always encouraging! Thanks! :hug:

BTW...one day, some day, maybe before the Lord comes...I'll find "one" letter that He gave to me...it's just nice and also encouraging, but I lost my book I wrote it in...so...hunting! ;) Love you all so much, and thanks for letting me vent...until I get to the counselors! :hug:

LOL. Yes I agree. We have prayer at my school. Well "moment of silence" but still we can pray. :D In fact our principal read a poem to the entire school about our American Flag about...FAITH in God, the blue on the flag represents Heaven, and a few other things. Which is AWESOME!

It's nice to hear that you get a moment of silence, but it just isn't the same is it?

And, your principle is brave...in some places he could be tossed out for saying anything about God! Boo Hiss on our stupid government...:prayer: for them to come back to the nation that once stood for all that was good and righteous, amen!
