Well, I went to the site that concerns all of Bentley's workings...and I have to ask this..."Why on almost every page...was he asking for money"?
Now, I know the Holy Spirit has nothing against having money, but doesn't it somehow send up a red flare that maybe, just maybe this man...may just want to make money? I dunno, met many a teacher, preacher, prophet, and healer that were telling us junk...I am a little careful when it comes to those "asking for money" to promote God's word...I think the word gets out just fine...without money being needed...HE "IS" THAT BIG TO GET IT ALL OUT THERE, YA' KNOW?
But, I am highly jaded with alot of the evangalists I've met....they kinda led me down some scary paths! Sorry! But, I do and have usually gotten a gut feeling about some...this man Todd...for now..."no clue", but did think he asked often for money to be sent to his ministry. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to hear and see him and read about what it going on in Florida. THANKS! your sis, hannah
PS Please don't be mad or upset with me...I really have been through alot with people like this, and I am sorrier than you that this is "my truth". I tend "now" to just read the word...chat with others, and "think" for myself about HIM, amen! No harm, no foul...we still be children of the Most High, and HIS truth will stand forever! Now I am extremely skeptical of the modern day evangelists. Matter of fact...I have even had a problem with my current church. They have resorted to asking people to give their unwanted gold to fund our expansion instead of money. But...i will say that I have always felt that God looks at the fact that you give more than who you are giving to. My husband and I deal a lot with recovering addicts...and sometimes...we have to be careful not to give money. I have been weary of giving to those that I think would abuse it...but then God reminds me that He is only concerned with how I handled the situation....not responsible with what the receiver does with what I give.Sister,
I COMPLETELY understand what you mean.. Although I disagree.. I believe God funds our ministries and that it would be somewhat prideful not to ask for money.. God tells us that He returns to us with the measure that we give.. so although me MIGHT get hurt through ministries in giving.. The Lord can use what was used for bad and turn it into eternal reward.. Also.. God not only supernaturally provides for our needs.. but uses us as well.. I understand completely what you mean.. I would be skeptical to give too.. but if it goes towards a good thing.. I have no problem.. because NO MATTER WHAT when you give.. it is given back to you in greater measure.. but anyway.. that's just what I believe.. but i understand sister
God may be moving here. I can only pray.
He will meet all of your needs according to his riches in glory thru Christ Jesus.

I agree with giving when the Lord tells me to, and it can be monetarily or otherwise...like just encouraging someone. Even that is a gift...especially if a "word" brings someone to HIM!
And, on my side note...ME TOO! I have seen way too much, given too much, and lost more spiritually by these types of preachers. If you want the whole sad story, one could read my blogs...if ya' wanna, but there is not alot I can say nice about....how I give, and how the "church people" believe one should give! This ended up in me losing out on my church and friends I had made there. Still makes me sad, but "one day...this feeling too shall pass" amen!
