Brother, it is not the same, she is not authorized to speak for God as only a prophet can!
Our feelings are NOT to be the yardstick with which to judge Almighty God. I prefer to believe the testimonies of some people who have been shown heaven and hell.
You are opening yourself to deceit by feeling your way instead of trusting in the word of God guaranteed through the prophets when you choose to listen to those who are not authorized to speak for God and reject the person who is authorized to speak for God? She is a prophet, the only person authorized in the Bible to speak for God. Choosing not to listen to a prophet established by God as the only person who can speak for Him and, what is worse, choosing instead to listen to others who are not authorized to speak for God, is not the way to follow God. The Bible only teaches that a prophet can speak for God, no one else!
It only makes sense to me that a loving and merciful God would back up what He says in Scripture with more evidence ... confirming evidence!
There is only one guaranteed way in which God speaks to us from the beginning, the Bible is a collection of these messages from God through the prophets. You are opening yourself to deceit if you accept any other means of listening to God. You must test your spirit with the guaranteed word of God through the prophets, if your spirit distances you from the word of God, it is not God who is guiding you. The scriptures reveal that the dead “know nothing” and therefore cannot be tortured.
For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even their name is forgotten. Their love, their hate and their jealousy have long since vanished; never again will they have a part in anything that happens under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 NIV)
The scriptures reveal the complete destruction of the soul in the second death, where resurrection is no longer possible because the spirit that returns to God that permits the resurrection in a new body is also destroyed.
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28 NIV)
The second death destroys the complete soul: body and spirit, there is no possible resurrection after the second death.
People who have seen hell testify of the sad state of those who are there ... some are being tortured as I write. Believers and pastors alike are there with unbelievers!
Do you follow the creator who told us about the coming of Jesus from the beginning to the prophets or are you making your own way? Why are you opening yourself to deceit by choosing to believe those who speak against what the Bible teaches?
“There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” (Proverbs 14:12)
Only the guaranteed word of our creator, through the prophets, is guaranteed truth from God, no other way has been revealed for our salvation and we have been warned to follow our own path!
Hebrews says the disobedient simply prove their unbelief. Disobedient to what ...
Disobedient, especially to the first four commandments about showing love toward God, most Sunday Christians are willing to listen to loving your neighbor and know the Jews were weak on this part of the commandments, but they are not willing to hear anything about showing love for God, the Jews are strong in this part of the ten commandments, they do everything possible to make sure they do not break any of these first four commandments.
believing the simple gospel? Give me a break!
You think it’s simple because you do not obey the Sabbath, try to get a job without being able to work on Sabbath and you’ll see how the world opposes you, pressing for the false substitute of Sunday instead of the Sabbath established in the week of creation, where God rested on the seventh day and made it holy. Note, that this took place before sin took hold of our first parents: Adam and Eve.
Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns.
For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. (
Exodus 20:8-11 NIV)
To “remember” the Sabbath day by keeping it holy shows love for God, something Sunday Christians are weak at, while the Jews are better in showing love for God in obeying the first four commandments.
They are disobedient to Jesus' commandments, for starters.
What are the commandments of Jesus, according to Jesus in the following passage?
A man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?” “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” “Which ones?” he inquired. Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’” “All these I have kept,” the young man said. (Matthew 19:16b-20a NIV)
The rich man asked Jesus “which” commandments He was referring to and Jesus confirmed the part of the ten commandments about loving your neighbor that the young man already knew. You may ask why Jesus did not mention the first four, because the Jews are strong in these and weak in loving their neighbor. The opposite is true for Sunday Christians, they are weak in the first part of loving God and prefer, opposite to the Jews, the second part of loving their neighbor.
On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.” (Mark 10:25-28 NIV)
The pendulum has turned, the Jews are focused on loving God to the neglect of neighbor, and Sunday Christians prefer loving their neighbor to the neglect of loving God, and none is balanced in doing both: love God and your neighbor to fulfill all the law in the ten commandments. United in our hope of the soon return of Jesus, Jorge
