Why do you erroneously suppose Paul is STILL subject to he law of sin after he has been freed from it by law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus ?
Paul is leading us through the transition of his walk in the flesh to his walk in the Spirit using his own experiences for us to follow along.
Kill the flesh. (Rom 6:3)
Bury it. (Rom 6:4)
Be raised with Christ to walk in newness of life. (Rom 6:5)
The conclusion wrapped together in Rom 6:6-7..."Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
For he that is dead is freed from sin."

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

My eternal outcome was settled at the cross by the Lord Jesus Christ. No man decides that.
But God has given pastors and teachers to His church.

Had they "heard" at the beginning of their claimed conversion, there would be no more sinning.
