CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Eh, to me, prog gets boring after awhile. I like songs to last for 4 minutes not like 12. I do like Rush and Queensyrche, although Queenys new stuff is bad. I caught them with Priest a couple of months ago and they were ok.
My favorite prog bands are Symphony X ( I caught them with Blind Guardian, awesome show!!!) and Fates Warning. Awaken the Guardian is an awesome album!!!

I have one of Barclay James Harvest's LP's. Octoberon.
I'm mostly into classic prog, but I've been getting more into Prog Metal as well.
My favorite Prog (or used to be prog, at least) bands are:
The Moody Blues
Kansas
Yes
Electric Light Orchestra
Jethro Tull
Rush
Styx
... As you can see, all older Prog bands.
Symphony X is indeed a decent Prog-Metal band.

I looked around ebay , and one appeared for sale ............... never seen anything signed by Steve Hillage before ......... I will let you know if and when it arrives.
btw , I once chased after a guitar pedal that Hillage had either made or used (both probably) I phoned this guitar shop in Brixton London and it had gone .... but the guy did say that "hillage pops in regular"

Symphony X are another great prog band. Similar to DT in style (prog metal) but the guitarist Michael Romeo is awesome and their singer (Symphony X's) is better, imo.
