  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I tihnk the sin of lust has to do with fantasing/etc. Finding someone attractive is not lust. Thinking that you want to get to know someone better because they are attractive is not lust.
Well I defintely do agree with you here. If thinking someone is attractive is a sin we should all go around wearing blindfolds.

I do wish you all the best with fighting your addiction (that is no joke!). Keep reading the scriptures to build yourself up.

I have come to offer this side of it... have you ever thought about whether this behaviour glorifies God?

Does sleeping glorify God?

I really hate that question because its silly. Not everything we do is ment to glorify God. Our lives are ment to glorify God, but not everything in our lives that we do can or does glorify God.

I'm in agreement that because of lust touching yourself is questionable. If it can be acomplished without lust there is nothing biblically against it. And if there is nothing biblically against it then it is not a sin. (God would not and does not hide rules from us.)

about as much as going to the toilet or emptying the cats litter... sure, it might not be terribly dignified... but its something thats gotta be done.
