You have not yet established this "historical record". Convince Richard Carrier and Bart Ehrman of it an get back to me.

If we apply Carrier's and Ehrman's views then no historical figure from antiquity stands their test. As I pointed out numerous times on this thread showing the manuscript evidence comparisons. Take a look at those charts again and apply each historical figure and their works. None come close to the NT historical manuscript evidence.

How about those that recorded their testimony?

You never heard of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, James, Peter, Jude?

You never heard of Ignatius, Polycarp, Clement, Irenaeus and a host of other late first century and 2nd century church fathers?

Who recorded the military campaigns of Julius Caesar and Alexander?
