Sounds incredibly postmodern or Islamic to me, our God has condescended to us and spoken to us and even though it is more like a mother to a child he has made it clear that he is consistent in his actions and that is not what I see you saying. Instead what I see you saying is God's ways are greater than ours, therefore don't bother, that's not even what God says, he says come let us reason together, and I will be his Father and he will be my son. It is a relationship that will ultimately lead a believer into the full knowledge of God.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that it is only by accepting evolution that we can do this, far from it, my main concern is that you are misrepresenting God as inapproachable, when he has as we remember at this time of year gone to such great and extravagant lengths to have us. We can boldly approach the throne room of God, and he has already imparted much more wisdom to us through that which makes foolish the wisdom of the world (that is the Cross)

Its not Islamic or postmodern - its Biblical:
As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9

Nowhere in the video does it say "don't bother" Only that the theory of evolution is wrong.
:amen:

Having studied the issue for a number of years this is the best explanation I have come up with.
How do you go about studying the idea that we don't know anything about reality? What did you study?

God ways are higher than our ways - His thoughts higher than ours. The theory of evolution is like Superman's cape. If Superman needs a cape to fly then he is really not superman. If he doesn't need it then why is it a part of his costume? And like superman, evolution is a fiction that pretends to do something that no man can - leap a tall building and fully comprehend nature. It is good to know ones limitations - don't you agree?

Evolutionary theory is correct in it's ability to predict some
outcomes. Though it really can't get much farther than
tomorrow afternoon's experimental results. And it certainly
has done a poor job of seeing into the past. But science
and the past don't mix well and it's dumb to consider it a
mechanism for origins.

The video says that mutations are almost always harmful.
This is true, but animal breeding is as old as man. If you're
going to claim DNA changes are always bad then how's come
my dog is so good? (I have the best dog ever : )

So DNA changes due to breeding must not be "mutations."
And that's where I stand. Not all DNA changes are mutations.
Most are pre-planned, optional variations designed by God.
That explains why my dog is an angel.

I thought the video was brilliant and I honestly do not understand where the vitriol comes from, especially when it comes to Christians commenting on each other's efforts

We are Christians first, and at odds over theology and science second
