Funny you didn’t hear much praise for the last 11 years when Obama was the most admired man or for Hillary taking the credit for 10 times during the same period.
Take it up with someone who might have made a big deal out of such things then.

My comment was on an almost technical matter, specifically where the results referred to in the OP came from originally, that's all. And that was done simply because I thought it might matter to some readers, regardless of which prez they might be rooting for.

Wonder where we could find a male with legacy for that kind of things.....

Ask Barack Hussein Obama. He speaks of himself hundred of times an hours when he gives speeches.

What does all that have to do with the topic of the thread, besides not following the narrative offered by the media?

You make it sound like winning that survey is a great achievement.

It kind of puts it in perspective that both Obama and Hillary have won that survey double digit times each.

I'm not sure how you got that from:

Trump wins title of Americans’ most admired man in annual survey

Well done Mr President there are 75,000,000 who voted for you and appreciate your work.

Being named America's most admired man is kind of a great achievement, only one person a year has that title.

Why that bothers you so very much is between you and God. It never bothered me at all the times Barack got it - if a person does not think it is a notable achievement, why all the replies trying to make it less? That's why when people were blowing Barak's horn, blah blah blah - I cared so little, I didn't even respond.

Exactly so. When Obama won it eleven times it was meaningless. When Trump wins it once it is a great achievement.

Our beloved double standards alive and well.

They did tie in 2019, by the way.

But the difference is that Obama was slobbered over consistently by the opinion makers, whereas Trump was called the worst names imaginable, every day of his presidency. The public usually responds to these kinds of polls by affirming what they have been told to think.

That they didn't go along this year, after impeachment and everything else, is much bigger news than that Obama won a popularity poll as was required of everyone who didn't want to be called a racist.

As it was pointed out by @gaara4158 and @SimplyMe in another thread, this poll isn't as grandeur as it's made out to be. And the Gallup poll is actually very disheartening and disgraceful if that many Americans think Donald Trump and his third wife are decent people and worthy of their admiration.

This explains it:
From Donald Trump, Michelle Obama Most Admired in 2020
STORY HIGHLIGHTS
  • 18% name Trump as most admired man; Barack Obama places second at 15%
  • Few Republicans name anyone other than Trump; Democrats split their votes
  • Michelle Obama named most admired woman for third year in a roll

You should have added that the sitting President has been the most admired time 60 times in the 74 years of the poll but Trump has lost twice, as sitting President. As such, it makes him the least popular President since Gerald Ford (who also lost twice). They also note that while Trump won with 18%, his approval rating is only at 39% -- most Americans don't approve of Trump.

So we are back to poor Trump narrative ? As if he hadn’t those “slobbering opinion makers” working for him every day of his soon to end Presidency ? As if Obama didn’t get called bad names ? Part of the job description.

And again when Obama won it was of course because public “had been told what to think” and when Trump wins it is obviously because he really is the most admired man 2020.

Double standards.

I think the poll is terribly disconcerting and it causes me wonder just how far down into the abyss of moral depravity this country has fallen in the last four years of Trump's presidency if a man like him is the most admired man in our country. It's even more disheartening when you realize that a lot of the people who were asked to participate in this poll are Christians. I don't think that's a good thing.

Some estimates place voters for President Trump at over 100 million...but a landslide historical victory for sure. It takes a very powerful and commanding personality to be the leader of the free world at this time in history when the communist globalist are attempting to perform a coup on the free world. Thank God He chose Donald Trump as POTUS for such a time as this. And thank God President Trump will remain in office another four years to do God's work and drain the swamp.

It's wonderful and amazing to know that all over the world, every moment of each and every day, prayers are ascending to our Father in heaven for President Trump and his family. Indeed, President Trump is and will forever be known as the greatest President in American history.
Since there was absolutely nothing funny about your post I believe that those 3 funny ratings you received were nothing but flaming and goading and a violation of the rules of this forum.

Trump wins once and it is Hail Mary. Talk about empty wins...

It doesn’t mean Hillary was necessary the most admired woman in US 10 times in a row anymore than Trump is the most admired man in US 2020.

Simply means they won the survey with that title. There is a difference but some of course won’t see it that way so sure they can trumpet this great win while remembering Obama did it ten times more and nobody cared about it either.
Obama also won a peace prize, can anyone tell me what he did to win it? My point, Obama gets recognized for simply existing, Trump had to win the admiration of people.

Again. Poor Trump.

Obama gets everything for nothing when Trump gets something it is earned and really, really special especially in the minds of his supporters no matter how insignificant thing we are talking about.

Obama’s peace prize was bit curious choice but since Trump never won it there is much more sense comparing the survey they both won, why they did it and what it means.

If you want to start another poor Trump inferiority thread compared to Obama about his missing the peace prize go ahead.

...or people simply admired President Obama more than they did President Trump?

I doubt very many people actually hate Trump. In general they despise the man, his lies, his corruption and undoubted gift of being a demagogue.

Why is that every time he is criticized for something it is hate for poor Trump and every time some democrats are criticized it is patriotic, honest and true ?

LOL - I don't hate you - I just despise you!

What is the difference between hate and despise?
When you "hate" someone, you dislike the person intensely. ... "Despise" is a stronger word than "hate". When you say that you despise someone, it implies that you "hate" that person, but it also carries with it the sense that you have contempt for him/her.
