Okay I see what you did, you slipped in a sentence in the middle of it.

Might be best to try bolding where you are speaking (just for easier reading)

I cant figure out how to comment under quotes on this board either, drives me crazy

Speaking of great tribulation, many people are already experiencing great tribulation in their life.
This is exactly true. And despite 2000 years of tribulation, many Christians are still in denial about this fact. The same folks who argue that we all will see tribulation in this life turn around deny that anything bad is coming and so they do not really have to prep. Such a strange dichotomy here.
"Trouble (tribulation) is coming... but nothing is going to happen to us so we do not have to prep...."

This dance around makes me dizzy.
This is one aspect about people who are religiously indoctrinated (I did not say spiritual people). They have the odd trait of holding two contradictory ideas in their head and fail to see the problem.
One verse defeats the entire argument:

Proverbs 27:12 ISV
12. Those who are prudent see danger and take refuge,
but the naive continue on and suffer the consequences.

Do you see "tribulation" coming in your life?
Be prudent.
Don't be naïve and continue on doing nothing...
Or you WILL and suffer the consequences.

I really don't know what may or may not happen, but surely its good to be prepared for any emergency, and life is full of tribulation.
