I'd love to join in on the name talk, but I think I might just wait til we have seen a heart beat... I was spotting last night, and whilst I know it's somewhat normal, I'm still so scared... Just wanting this to go smoothly, not the way it's currently going!

:prayer: for you!

Yes--we are! I'm a little bummed b/c I know people who found out at 17 weeks. I won't get to find out until 20. These next four weeks will DRAG by!

Is anyone else planning to find out?

P.S. You all will be the ONLY ones to know the name of our baby! Certain relatives won't like what we've picked, so we're letting the gender out and keeping the name in.
I found out the gender when I went for my 20 week scan. My family knows but my husband said he didn't want to know. My daughter was with me at the appointment and she was tickled pink. :) She's doing better than me in terms of not letting on.

Alas because I know my spouse probably surfs on here sometimes I can't let you guys know just yet what I'm having

I have no problem telling family about baby names - Hubby on the other hand wants to keep it all secret!
Because we're mixing French and English families, we're under a lot of pressure not to pick names that cannot be pronounced in both french and english. *sigh*

Ex. We love the name "Lucian" in french it's pronounced beautifully, but we don't like "loo-shin"
And we love the english name "Pippa" but in french it sounds like: "pee-pah." ....great. :S

So we has the troubles.

I had my sono scan at 19 weeks but the umbilical cord was in the way ... they said they were about 90% sure it was a girl, 4 weeks later my Dr. did another sono and sure enough, they were right. I'm having a girl. FINALLY got a name I like picked out...Addison Grace. Now the problem is, I have all boy clothes from my Son... I have to go shopping all over again, and being a mom of a toddler, I'm already broke! LOL Parenthood, Broke for life, but so worth it

Hugs and prayers, Hannah...I wish there was more I could say, but I know that it doesn't help :(

Back from my appt. I've had extreme itching (I mean EXTREME). I've mentioned it at every appt, but it gets blown off. My 11th pregnancy; I know what is normal and what isn't. This is NOT. Finally, got an OB that recognised it and sent me for lab work. Most likely it's Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy (ICP). Fun. Means monitoring and most likely delivering early.

Argh! Silly doctors! I've been in again for blood test this morning, and my (favourite) doctor saw me and asked how the results were (as she hadn't looked yet)... I told her, and she said it's not as good as she'd wanted, but she's had a couple of people who have had the levels level off then rise again normally, so not to give up hoping yet. I just want to know one way or the other to be honest! I will know for certain if the blood test is ok today or tomorrow, then by Friday after the ultrasound I guess.

And Etsi, it's interesting that you have found what it could be! I've seen quite a few other people describe it too but hadn't heard of it before about 2 weeks ago...

My morning sickness has finally left me! YAY! However, I'm now as sick as a dog with a cold.
I've been taking homeopathic remadies, Vicks vaporub and lots of tea.
It's a slow go - normally I tank up on Nyquil at night, then take a 24 hr sinus medicine for the daytime....Can't take any of that now!

I'm so miserable. :(

Nesting has begun. I started knitting a baby blanket at 2am this morning LOL! I have two sets to the pattern done so far.
Awwww! What a coincidence! Yesterday, I had a strong urge to pick up my crocheting and finish a baby blanket I'd started 4 years ago so that I can start making some baby booties, cardigans etc.

Today I've badly wanted to paint and decorate my bedroom. ^_^

I feel for you! I recall having a cold during my first trimester and became 'OCD' with my spouse if he even came home with a little sniffle.

Hope you feel better soon

Thank you everyone for your support...

I had my beta today, and instead of dropping like I expected... it's still rising somewhat slowly (i.e. only about 45% in 48 hours), but it's started rising heaps quicker again, so I "may" still have a chance.
Still praying for you!
