This is as close as I could come, but the cafe owner wasn't actually arrested, nor even threatened with being arrested. As near as I can tell from the article he was merely warned that there had been a complaint which could potentially violate Section Five of the Public Order Act.

Christ is offensive. Christians are meant to offend. Britain is no longer a Christian country, no matter what the politicians say. Homosexuality is no different from stealing, adultery, murder or any other sin. The root cause of homosexuality is rebellion against God and His ways. I don't recall "pride" marches for adulterers or murderers. You will say that's different. God says you are wrong.

So you're admitting that the Christians that you mentioned were indeed being offensive? Thus the police were justified in arresting them.

Then if you offend people in a public place then expect some problems. I can well imagine that guy who was arrested using exactly the same language as you just did. That is, comparing people's daughters, sons, workmates, friends, aunts and uncles and sometimes mothers and fathers to murderers.

I'd say he was taken to custody for his own safety. That is simply an outrageous and shameful thing to say. I'd suggest that you need to apologise to all the gay members of this forum.

Which is why the cultural sway that Christians hold over society is falling. As a non religious person I think that is a good thing. You don’t see it as a good thing.

But we can both agree that in developed countries Christianity is on the decline and behaviour like what this lady is displaying will continue to be legally restricted. Like all antisocial crimes are.

As I predicted from the start, the CPS dropped the case at the last minute!!!

They had absolutely no case and as is typical they leave it until the last minute before dropping the case (maybe because they hope new evidence will emerge or they're just too busy to review until last minute).

This is not really a demonstration. I suppose to her it is a vigil. What a waste of time!
