Ephesians 2:10 HCSB
"For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them. "
Lord, You created us for a purpose. Every child, whether born or unborn, was prepared by Your mighty hand. I pray that the crime of abortion ends, Father. Amen.
Thank you for sharing your journey; every inspiring!I may have discussed this before and apologize if this is a repeat.
Despite having faced an endless array of problems in my life (a life which, quite frankly, has been an utter hell - one so bad that people have cried when they learned how bad it was), I still affirm life. Mind you I am a survivor of an abortion attempt.
I've done (or at least, tried to do) a lot of good for others in my life. People have said to me that they would never have survived a particular crisis if I had not been there to bail them out of the difficulty. And I have always said, if I had to do it for you all over again, I would.
So yes, every one of us is born for a purpose. The problem isn't so much each crisis that we face - the only real problem is the lack of reward for our efforts. The Bible promises us a 100 fold reward for our good sacrifices (Matt 19:29; Mark 10:30; Luke 18:30). Much to my sadness, those rewards (many of which are promised in the here and now) have not been granted. Not one, sad to say. This is why people remain aggrieved over life's circumstances and why so many believe abortion "liberates" people. I will never be convinced it liberates anyone. But at the same time, I cannot help but remain aggrieved over the bad things I've been through in life. Yeah, I like to laugh and I do so quite a lot (see my avatar as an example). But it would be a lot better to have the laughter and not the grievances.
So let's pray/work together to end abortion. But at the same time, let's work/pray together that the problems which stimulate people to get abortions or approve of it will be ended. Let's choose and let's promote life.
