  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Always great to hear from you joymercy and thank you for sharing. You are such a blessing to us on the forums. I enjoy reading all your posts. I wanted to reaffirm that you are never alone. You have your friends here remembering you in prayer. You have the Lord with you at all times. When we are feeling down, or alone, during our journey, it may seem that He is distant, we can rest upon the Lord and let Him do the carrying. He will never let you go.

awww, gee, that is so nice to say!

I enjoy all your posts as well. And congratulations on being confirmed!! Your picture with the bishop looks great!

I don't feel that God isn't there, I feel lonely often for friends and people.

Can any one else relate to knowing God loves them, but really wish more people did in their real lives?

Thankyou for those who faithfully serve!
I used to go to a church school when I was younger and our morning assemblies always had prayer and a Christian theme.

I remember the day when the deputy head, a devout Christian, took the assembly. He was talking about the passage in the gospels where Jesus watched the rich men throwing in large amounts of money into the temple treasury. He then mentioned the poor widow and said she only put in "a couple of measily coins" which got all of the children bursting into giggles. How pathetic of her, we all laughed.

But then the Deputy Head stood up and said something which plunged the hall into total silence. "The poor widow gave more than the others". He said that according to their means, the widow gave everything she had out of her own poverty.

And the lesson I have learned all these years, we cannot out-give God. All He desires from us is a generous heart. A heart that is generous with our money, our resources, and our time, but above all, generous with our love.

That makes sense!

By the will of God Anthony, I am compelled to gladly agree! :)

Don't you have homes to eat and drink in?

God, may your increase fall down like dew to reward the readiness of heart and willing mind, Amen!
That's a prayer I would like to second!
