Hello, I've been thinking to end my life lately. The only thing that I think will keep me going and living is to become a better person overall, a better son, a better brother, better friend, cousin, and especially boyfriend, since I think I have affected my girlfriend a lot. I ask you to pray for this because I really need it, more than anything else in life.

Praying for you right now. Jesus asks us to die to ourselves and live in Him. His yoke is easy and His burden is light because we don't carry it by ourselves. When you think you want to end your life ask yourself who is around you that God needs you to reach out to. You are needed or you wouldn't be here. Since before you were even born you were loved by the One who formed and knit you together and died so you could spend eternity with Him. Now He asks you to trust in Him and His love for you.

Don't focus on your faults or your need to be a better person. Focus on Him and let Him take care of the rest.

Look for the hymn "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus" for a good focus!

I am so sorry you are considering ending your life. I ask you as a Christian sister to please do NOT do so. I am an idealist by nature. I understand how tough it is to be aware of how we ought to be and how we really are. The Germans have a word for this: weltschmerz.

We will never be as good as God intended us to be in this life. But if we can get up most days and do our best, even if we stumble and fall, then God is pleased with us.

I urge you to get as close to God as you can, mostly through prayer, but through bible reading and fellowship as well. If you seek the realm of God first, God will help you with everything else. But it takes time. Be encouraged! God's help and presence is always a reward for those who seek God. But it takes effort, like going to the gym every day.

Sorry that you’re struggling, brother. I’m really concerned that you mentioned about taking your life. You are precious and a blessing from above. We all experience sadness/disappointment in some way or the other – and these feelings can sometimes paralyze us if we do not eliminate them. Don’t let life’s trails rob you of your peace of mind. You might want to check out the book, Kingdom Man, by Tony Evans. I hope you’re soon able to position yourself in a place you’d like to be. I’m praying for God to be by your side. Will also pray for your relationship with your girlfriend. I pray you’ll be encouraged to read the verse Psalm 34:18-19 “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

Well, I will certainly pray for you to first, not be suicidal, 2nd to be healed of what great hurts you have, and 3rd to not try to be a better Christian as that doesn't work. Instead, I pray you will learn to rely on the Savior to do His job of saving you.

Also, you might want to check out near death experiences of those who tried to commit suicide. Just a thought. They are all over YouTube.

Do not think of killing yourself! God loves you, and his love for you, makes it impossible not to care for you and help you! That is how much he cares for you and loves you! Just focus on him daily, give him the worship and praise he deserves for who He is, and thank him daily for what he does and gives you in your life! Before there was a problem in your life, God had already the answer.

Because of his love for us, he could not refuse the best he has, giving his only Son Jesus for our sins! How can he refuse you what you need?!

His presence, love and peace will flood your heart ans soul, if you focus on him daily and seek him and his help! You always sound like such an intelligent guy especially for your age when you give advice/prayers, so I want to you to know that is a valuable trait that can certainly be used for God in someway or ways.
I am being scourged for the last two years, as God is trying to make me holy. It's quite the experience.
