Annie, you sound like a sister after my own heart! I had six natural childbirths, and I'm a believer in doing things naturally as much as possible, too.

But this is something I've never heard of before. Apparently they check the fluid level around the baby. A rating of "10" or lower is cause for concern. Her fluid rating dropped several times, although at the moment it's fine. She has been drinking enough fluids, and was not dehydrated. The fluid level may be related to lack of rest. She works all day and is on her feet a lot.

I am not sure why the doctor wants to induce. Those are always harder contractions, as you know, and more difficult to manage. He's been concerned for her for the last six weeks, though, and doing more than the usual number of ultrasounds.

I think this is one time when the doctor may know more than we know and know the 'natural' progression of things may not be the best way to go at this point. Will be praying for the Lord to lead the doctor and show him His ways and what he should do. Pray for you also Ariel, my daughter had a threatening birth and it is so hard on us. Prays with you all,

Bonnie, I think you're right.

I've prayed about this, and also had the same thought. This is a time to trust the doctor. He wants to get that baby out, and may have other medical reasons as well.

And also by 'natural', I meant *how* we were Divinely designed/created to function... is all.

My dear friends and sisters in Christ. Thank you so much. Everything went so well yesterday, and my daughter had the easiest delivery she's ever had. I was there to support her through it all, along with her husband. For the first time, the doctor did not need to use any instruments to get the baby out. She also had the most competent, caring delivery nurse I have ever seen. This must have been God. So, here we go:

I am praying for your friend. So sorry so much seems to be against her right now. It must be such a blessing to her to have a friend like you! But I will pray that she knows without a doubt that jesus is with her and will be there throughtout her surgery and beyond.

Please lets all remember those young adult that were killed today at Virg. Tech. College. So far 32 dead and 28 wounded. Please remember their families. Pray that the healing will start for that little area and some good will somehow come out of the slaughter. Satan was alive and will for a couple of hours there so now the Lord will reign and show His love and mercy on all the ones that are still alive.
