I have a praise report..
Late Sunday night/early Monday morning, the winds were whipping through the 'hollow' where my dh & I live. At 3:10 AM, we heard a tree fall.. and we lost our electricity.. I called the report in to CVPS - our power co. and it raiined & rained..
Shorty after that, we heard more trees falling.. and in the morning the phone lines were down too.. one top of one tree was blocking the driveway.. and our cell phone had no "bars" so we couldn't call out on it..
Our regular saw was no where to be found.. so we used a hacksaw on the tree tops.. each branch was only about 3 to 4 inches in diameter..so it was not as hard as it could have been..
We got out of the driveway & far enough up the road so that I could call work & tell them what was going on.. we stopped at the Christian Book store.. to see our friends that own it.. to let them know what was going on.. and to go to the grocery to get water (we have a well & no power.. no pump.. no water) & some other emergency supplies..
So we didn't hear anything on Monday.. the rain continued & the stream in the middle of out property decided to overflow its banks.. and before long our 1/4 mile driveway was underwater..
So I called to report the outages again.. and I called again on Tuesday.. the phone tech came but couldn't do anything till the power was back on.. and when I called the CVPS, the woman told me that "You're not even on the list yet.. It might be DAYS yet before they get to you.."
Well Tuesday night, we went to church and watched a DVD. Heiddi Baker was talking about The Father's Heart.
She said that when she prepares for a seminar or needs help with something that is going on in her life.. She gets on her knees and cries out to the Father..
Help me Daddy.. Help me.. I'm Your kid.. and I don't know what to do! Help me! And He does..
So that night, I'm sitting in bed.. thinking about what she said..
And I started to cry out for my Father.. telling Him Help Me.. Help me.. I can't so this anymore.. I'm cold & it is so dark.. and we have no water.. Help me Daddy.. Help me!! Have the men show up.. they even won't know why them came here.. cause we're not on the list.. just have them come, Daddy..
It was between 1 & 2 in the morning on Wednesday.. my dh sees lights in the swamp in the front of our property moving up & down the power lines..
He goes outside.. and it is a logging crew.. to cut the downed trees.. so they can change the transformer & put the wires back up.. they didn't know there was a driveway there.. that's why they came through the swamp.. didn't know we were back there.. (we're a 1/4 of a mile off the dirt road.. )
The did what they could & said they'd be back in the morning.. and the came & we got the power back.. the phone fella came later and out their lines back up..
So we had power.. and lights.. and the computers.. the TV!
God is so good.. call out to Him.. and He will hear you.. Why?? because you are His child.. and He loves you SOOO much!
