O my....Lord help our sister to stand firm in the faith, guide her with all the arrangements and comfort her heart and those who will be grieved over "mom"s passing.

I am going to put myself on here today...I recently was treated successfully for pneumonia...but now have begun a second course of meds due to secondary infections from the pneumonia treatment...mainly the side effects of antibiotics. Today I am feeling a little weird from the strain of all this medication. The Lord helps me to let go of a lot of things, I would like to be well if it is His will.

I felt similarly, [to Shirley] during a course of Flucoxacillin ... for septicaemia
following a mosquito bite [sleeping with the window open] at my Bristol apartment

Not at-all fun, to roll off the bed and keep on rolling in your head
Anyway the drugs 'worked' and my MRSA outbursts [on buttock and shin] eventually closed over
leaving lifelong scarring at those points

Hang in there Marsha Sis', His light will provide a way out of the darkness
Never forgotten, but soon to be tolerated more-comfortably
when we surrender to His purpose

Your church situation will be in my prayers. My church is in the midst of change right now also, but we already have a good temporary or permanent solution. We'll miss our pastor that we've had for 17 years.

We have very limited choices sometimes...the meds are double edged swords for most. Surprisingly I felt better last evening, and slept fairly well. Today I skip a dose of antifungual...then take it again tomorrow. The anti-biotics continue for several more days... I have had a lot of anti-biotics in the past 4 weeks...by mouth, IV drip and injection...

My pastor is coming this afternoon to bring me communion...I have asked my dear JW neighbor to drive me to the dr tomorrow. My second son, Brian, who is estranged from the family tells me by email that he is going to church with his wife.

Praying for those mentioned...comfort during a time of loss, wisdom regarding meds etc. , the ability to handle all that He places at our table...the annointing of the Almighty One and The Fear of The Lord which simply means knowing He is always there.

Tomorrow is the viewing and Friday is the funeral. We will come home in between because staying away from home is just too difficult for me. It's not too far a drive, maybe 75 minutes, at most. Pray for us. Travel safety, just that all details go smoothly and peacefully and that I can be a blessing and comfort to my sister. And that I don't become too emotional.
