((((Dave)))) Seeing others go is so difficult, stressful... take care of yourself during this time, too.

My mother's mother was buried on this very day in 1968... 3 days before Christmas. It's hard to find the right Spirit... but with Christ, we all have hope.

Our neighbour 'David' is about to 'pass' from his life here
Doctors, have given him, just 'days' remaining

Our Friend and neighbour 'David'
passed from this world, earlier this-morning [@ 6 am]
He departed 'peacefully', in his 'sleep'

requested for his widow 'Shirley'
May her grief, be diluted, by positive memories of, their 30 years together
and, the certain knowledge, that his last days, were calm and pain-free

Update on Juliette: Blood sugar is up and down, appetite down, energy low. I am force feeding her pills and giving her insulin injections as directed. I haven't really slept or eaten since this all began on Friday of last week. If I need to put her down, it will be tomorrow night. Thank you for continued prayers.

I just saw this...after posting on the other thread.

There comes a time (I think you said it too) when we must discern 'quality' of life vs 'quantity' for our pets.

Hi again, I spoke with the vet today and she said not to be hasty with this decision. She advised me to be patient and diligent with her treatment. She said that diabetes is controlable and that we shouldn't give up after having come so far. It's just a matter of doing the blood tests every 2 hours for a couple of days to establish the proper dosage. She said that she was hopeful after I gave her my readings and increased her insulin a tad. Once again, please pray for increased physical strength as I pull another all-nighter. Alan will hopefully relieve me over the weekend so that I can get some sleep. Thanks. P.S. She barked tonight for the first time in a week!

Very hard day as I am alone with my grief. Everyone is back to work and the comfort from family support is gone. I am hugging her favourite toy and I can smell her still. Please, continue to pray for relief, comfort and healing. May the Lord's name be praised in all things.
