Yes, here they encourage it at age 50, but back then for a few years I was gravely ill.
We were then busy with our parents and helping my daughter with the kids through her divorce; it was always 'something'.
This may be our year; we will see in a month or so when hubby is feeling better

I am much better today...slowly getting my strenght back...the prep for this test took a toll on me...you are wise to wait until you feel strong enough for it.

Glad to hear you are recovering

He is better....the wheezing has subsided, and the cough is gone for the most part.
However he has developed a raspy voice/hoarseness that may be from the new steroid inhaler.
So he will keep on the pulse of prednisone but stop the new RX to see what happens; he can always re-start it as needed and keep and eye out for side effects.

He SHOULD recover fine, but I think the doc is concerned about allergies triggering him, and wanted him to stay on the steroid inhaler.

Time will tell ~ thanks for asking

Those allergies are so difficult to treat...I went to an allergy dr for a while...really, we just sort of stab at treatments.

We just close up the house when the pollen is thick, use air cleaners, exercise before it flies on dry days, and avoid triggers as best we can.
It was a virus that caused this last flare, and he seems to be coming out of it now, thankfully!

I'm smiling and giving thanks. My brother came through the surgery just fine and is in ICU. He's already off of the ventilator, eating ice chips, and even complaining some. I understand that the complaining some is a good thing. Thank you sincerely for your prayers. I'm sure there will be some hard days ahead, so I would really appreciate your continued prayers from time to time. God has been good to us. Thanks in advance.

We got instructions about how some people react to this kind of surgery...they can be very emotional during recovery...my hubby shed tears, something rare for him.

I will be praying for successful outcome aand no complications.

Update:

A phone call from the hospital [this morning] gave me a further appointment
for Monday 25th June @10.30am

Within ten minutes [no more] a further phone call from a different secretary
offered me a different appointment, one, for this coming Monday 18th
So I accepted the earlier appointment and made mention of the earlier call
and was told, the other appointment would be cancelled

I then phoned the Health Centre, because I had a blood test scheduled for June 18th
and those appointments 'clash'...
'Bloods' were rescheduled for the following week

Cough isn't very troublesome ~is much less so

Hi Birdie,,,,no im not upset with the words you said,,,i know in part that it is true,,,im sorry for the pain you went thru,,,,im glad you came out of this stronger.....at this point in my life idk what i want for my marriage,,,,,trusting him would be a BIG issue,,,,i would only reconcile with him if he accepted God into his life cause we all know only God can save and help him,,,i know i cant,,,i continue to pray for him each and every day,,,,thats part of who i am,,,idk who i am right now,,,all i know is my heart is broken,,,but God has been there for me,,He is the only One i can truly trust.....right now im going to wait and follow Gods lead,,,,thank you for all the prayers CF..

You can trust God.. that is for sure... I'm sorry you feel so awful right now. i just wanted you to feel hope for yourself. I'm long past my pain and I (honestly) barely remember it. I for one am very impatient with rebellious men. I don't know that I came out of it stronger. I kind of wish I wouldn't have married the guy in the first place. However, my broken heart did mend COMPLETELY. God bless you... It's not important that you know who you are. I don't know who I am either... But I'm here and God loves me so that's okay... WE are all originals made for our father's purpose and loved dearly by him.

It's amazing. They removed the chest tubes from my brother today, and he isn't complaining of pain. They said if things progress as they are now - he will be going home on Monday. PTL - Thank you God.

Please keep the burns and Kirschenman family in your thoughts and prayers! They lost Caitlin Kirschenman (around 28 years old) last night in an accident.

I don't know the details. Her best friend is on my facebook account. Pray for her too (Julie) She is in shock I think. I'm pretty sure deep grief will follow.
