CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi Guys,
As many of you know I recently embarked on a new path in my life and began working at a local animal shelter.
Most of the dogs there are medium to HUGE size. And, if you've ever been in a shelter you know the sound of 50 large dogs all barking is deafening!
Recently we got in 2 of the sweetest little dogs. The are small maybe 15 pounds each. They've been together all their lives and were taken away from the owner for neglect. They are crate and potty trained and so lovable.
Needless to say the are SCARED TO DEATH. Can you imagine being so small and listening to 50 HUGE dogs BARK. PLEASE PLEASE PRAY that they get adopted soon AND that they get to stay together.

I love dogs and we have two about the same size!!! I can't imagine them being ripped apart. I will pray that God bless that special twosome.

Hi everyone. I think I mentioned a while back that my dad is partially healed of his cancer? We weren't 100% certain then, but it's gone from his esophagus for certain now according to the doctors. Unfortunately there is still cancer in his liver, so I guess it's back to chemo he goes. I fully believe that God can heal him 100%. Please join with me in prayer for my Dad to come to Christ and for a complete healing?

I don't usually post prayer request in the prayer request forum. But, this is too important to rest on my normal routine.
I talked to my sister yesterday on the phone who told me that my mother has just been diagnosed with Cancer of the Uterus. Now, I haven't talked to my mother about it, because my mother's not talking about it. But, it's got my sister pretty upset. She's a lot younger than I am, 27. And she's still pretty dependant on her for well, everything. Don't get me wrong, I love my mother. She's actually my best friend next to my husband. But, I have Christianity and God. And I think that's made me not so hysterical.
If you wouldn't mind. I know that not everyone here likes me that much. (it's okay, don't get side tracked) But, I would really appreciate your prayers for my mother. Her name is Carolynn. She's a widow. And I'm clear across the country.
It's just so weird. The women in my family never seem to get sick or die. The men, sure....they leave this world when it's time. but the women seem to just live forever.
...I guess the emotions are finally hitting me.
