PLease pray that we can find affordable health insurance. I have been told that that in Illinois I am uninsurable due to diabetes. I am not buying that lie from the devil! My diabetes is well managed and I am not insulin dependant.

That doesn't make sense at all. I am diabetic, and I am insured. Praying for this, as well as your other requests!

Hi Guys I need some prayer.

Some of you may or may not know that my husband and I are in the process of opening our own buisness. Basically it's really his buisness as he is a mechanical engineer but I will be doing his books/typings, etc. God has put this all into place for us and we've had one blessing after another, one door after another open for us.

Praise God that he is in control. At first I got all worried about it but then I had to repent and tell God I was sorry for thinking that He could not handle this.

I was going to ask for prayers this morning. But reading some of the recent posts, and seeing the faith and trust you all have, has stopped me. It's not that I think there is anything wrong with asking for prayer, of course not. It's just that I realize that I need to have that kind of faith and trust in God, that he will take care of me and my requests, because he promises that all things will work for my good. I just need to trust more and put more faith in him to take care of me.

So I want to thank you guys because you've helped me to realize that today, when I really needed it the most. And please know that I am praying for all of the requests here, and continue to keep you all in my prayers.

You are right and we want you pray with us!! We're all in a 'learning' process - all of us are at different stages and that's ok!! We're all growing together! God bless you lots!

My Uncle and Aunt have left for a 2 week driving vacation. My Aunt Dolores is blind from RP. Please keep her in your prayers that she will be able to experience a very good vacation. She's pretty active while at home but she misses out on a lot too.

I need prayer for a riff between a friend of mine and myself caused by another person. It just doesn't seem to end - ! So many misunderstandings that just don't get resolved. I don't want my relationships to be that way. Thanks for your prayers.

Lord God, You know all our needs even before we know them ourselves, and I ask You to touch all those that are in need of prayer in here, and that You may heal those in need of healing, comfort those in need of comfort and come with Your peace and shelter those who struggle and do not feel so good for some reason that You know of. Shelter them all under Your wings, o precious Father. Bless all who come to this thread with a praying heart for others and those who come here with their own needs, Lord. We could start a whole forum on the problems with our health insurance system.

Unfortunately this scenario makes perfect sense. It's an entirely different ball game if you have group insurance through your employer than if you are self-employed and buying it on your own. My spouse and I are self-employed and fortunately we're in excellent health and were able to obtain an insurance policy (I wouldn't say it's affordable though), but one of our kids was denied and has been uninsured for over five years now due to a very minor health problem. The truth is if you have a pre-existing condition, no matter how minor, you can pretty much forget it. The insurance industry does not want to pay claims. They want to collect premiums. Sorry to be such a downer.

That said, I am sincerely praying that you find a way around it. I feel for you because I have been in (and am still in) that situation. Please let me/us know what happens. I'd be very interested to hear how you come out.

My union is in negotiations with the state on a new contract. If passed I would get a 25% payraise (the way it's written now). This would be awesome. The one thing I would think about doing though is to stay 3 more years to help my retirement package. I had planned on retiring August 2007.

Please pray if it's God's will that the contract will be signed as written.
