Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Been gone for a while, I'm thankful everything is turning out well, DaRev.

These are scary times.

Please be in prayer for me and my family. Last Thursday I was informed that due to a downturn in sales at work, my department was being consolidated and my job was eliminated. I'm frantically scurrying to find a new job that will support my family. We would like to stay where we are, but if push comes to shove we are able to relocated fairly quickly.

I have almost 15 yrs management-level experience in Customer Service and some experience in Logistics. I'm also moderately proficient in French and Spanish. If anyone has any good leads please PM me. I would be happy to follow up on any leads and can send you my resume to be passed around.

OH no. I am really sorry. Every one of my friends--who don't even know each other-- have moved to Oklahoma over the past few years, and my last two are moving there next week-- all similar situations to yours. Which also means, I have totally no more friends here anymore (what's IS it about Oklahoma?).

We'll be in prayer for you here.

We got home yesterday with the kids. Still getting over jet lag. It's been an amazing last 2 weeks. Some time when we get more settled in, I'll post a link to our blog.

I think they are bonding well, so well that they are acting like typical siblings. If their lollypops were not exactly the same one would throw a fit. Also they are already testing bounderies. These are great signs they are fitting in. However, I already feel horrible saying "no" more often than "yes" and I've already had to raise my voice a couple times. Academically I know this is part of it, but I already feel like a bad mommy.

Prayers Mr. Flipper and I can find the right groove and that we get this at least mostly right.

Welcome to motherhood! You are doing the right thing - "no's" are part of the whole thing. You will do fine. God's blessings.

If you weren't questioning yourself a bit, you wouldn't be a normal and good parent. I'm sure you're doing just fine and I wish I could tell you it gets easier, but, ya know, every day is another adventure and/or challenge with love being the icing on the cake. It's worth every second, for all of you. :)

My niece has been in labor almost 24 hours now. Last I knew, about 2 this afternoon, she took and epidural and they started pitocin. This is their first child. I pray that things are going okay and that mother and baby are fine.

May God continue to watch over both mother and child. :prayer:
