Just spoke to DIL, and she explained that her friend is now with Jesus in heaven. Our grand daughter's primary concern was that someone would be able to look after her. And as she reflected (as young children do) on that she was very sad but glad that Jesus was taking care of her.

Well, the job I got no longer pays the bills. I'm about half a 'k' short per month.

I share this here to ask for renewed prayers: another opportunity has come to me rather suddenly. It would be something I would enjoy doing very much, it's here in town, and between a reduced commute and the promise of an even salary ... it's everything I could want.

Help ... please.

Prayer of Thanksgiving! There was a 6.4 earthquake in Taiwan a couple of hours ago. My niece serves as a missionary there. Team Taiwan, as we call the missionaries/teachers there, are all okay. Miner damage at the school. Early reports from the country is that there is not significant damage either.

Also asking for prayers for my new little godson and his parents. He has been having abdominal issues and the tests have been inconclusive. They see a specialist next. It has really been frustrating for them as well as little sleep for Mom and Dad due to little Josiah being fussy. He is only 6 weeks old.

Court hearing to make our adoption final is scheduled for Monday. Pray that the Ethiopian government somehow determines we are fit to be parents. Still doesn't mean we can go over there, but it's the next step, and the kids would be legally ours (meaning I can say what their names are and post a picture). Thanks!
