  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am certainly going to need that ... and patience. They want me to come in next week for a 2nd interview: more questions and a CAD test. Hopefully I'll pass.

Update: My son has probably been hit with the HINI. Please pray for us: that he gets better, that I don't get sick, ... oh yeah, and that things go well on Wednesday.

Please pray for my sister who is in the hospital detoxing. And also that I may find a job.
I pray your sister's detoxing is a permanent change in the right direction.

Also praying you find a good job.

In Christ,
Ed

Alex is better: he has a cough that's going to stay a while, and an ear infection that justifies antibiotics. At least this stuff apparently tastes better than the last. They've got school off Thursday and Friday, so his first day back will be Monday.

I can only hope the interview went well. The CAD work was straightforward enough; it's my presentation that I'm worried about. I wasn't pessimistic or negative, but I'm not an 'up' person. I don't brag and I don't lie, which means ask me how I did and I'll say that I hope I did well ... ask me about an unpleasant possibility and I'll face it, though not preferrably.

I hate interviewing.

Simon, whom I had requested prayers for a few months back lost his fight with cancer yesterday morning. He had been feeling somewhat better these last few weeks, so this was very sudden. He died at home with his family.

Please remember his wife Moira; daughters Cara and Alex; and his brother Malcolm in your prayers.

I praise and thank God for these few short 12 years that I had been able to share with him.

Thanks,

Mark.

Prayers for my son: that he gets over his latest illness while wife and I consider getting him to a pediatrician despite our current economic status.

Prayers for me: the last job opportunity fell through. Two hours later I was called by a new recruiter I have not met before, suggesting a new opportunity. I interview tomorrow.

Praying!!!!

Arch, take your son to the pediatrician no matter what the cost...it is worth it for good health.

Please, pray for my daughter's expedited discharge from the hospital...they're dragging it on and we're all drained emotionally, physically and financially because of this. Every time you guys pray, something good happens! :)

Well, the job I got no longer pays the bills. I'm about half a 'k' short per month.

I share this here to ask for renewed prayers: another opportunity has come to me rather suddenly. It would be something I would enjoy doing very much, it's here in town, and between a reduced commute and the promise of an even salary ... it's everything I could want.

Help ... please.

Two prayer requests:

1. My bride and I are celebrating 39 years of marriage; but I am in Denver for the next five days!!!

2. Our middle grand daughter (almost five) had a very special friend in school, ate lunch together every day. Anyway, she, her brother and sister (also in elementary school) and their mother were killed in a car accident yesterday. Mom was talking on the cell phone to her oldest son when she hit a bus head on. Pray for him and the husband who much deal with this tragedy. Pray also for our grand daughter so she can deal with it at her level. Wisdom for our son and DIL.
