  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hello I am asking for prayer for my elderly friend Margaret (non Christian) who is in her last moments.
I pray for her to call upon Christ.
I have been by her bedside this morning talking to her, praying and hoping that she can understand her need for a Savior.
She is literally drawing her last breaths.
Thank you dear brothers and sisters.

 Praying that God's own peace is Margaret's as He meets her deepest of needs and that is to grant her reprieve from anything blocking her precious embracing of Jesus Christ as her Savior even at this very moment. Father may it be so, in the name of Jesus the Christ, the only begotten Son of You, the living God, the God of the living, amen. (((hug)))

When I left the nursing home tonight she was comfortable, the nurses said that they had not expected that Margaret would have held on for the time she has. Her body is basically shutting down, she is medicated so she has no pain.
I thought that I would give a bit of background here.
Margaret was my next door neighbour for about 25 years. She is in her eighties and was always an outdoors person, very independent and loved her dog and gardening.
Almost two years ago her niece (she never married, no children) after Margaret had a fall at home had her put in a nursing home and had power of attorney etc which Margaret did not realise at the time. She went to rehab after the fall and I was told by her niece that she was going to make sure that she would not be going back home.

Every Saturday I take my two Shelties to the nursing home and we spend the afternoon with her.
She has slight dementia but still very "with it". Her hearing is not good either.
The last three weeks or so she has deteriorated, at times telling me she didn't know what was wrong with her. And couldn't settle, she had had a few health issues ie ear infection etc. When we were there on Saturday she was in pain and very distressed.
Late Tuesday I was told that Margaret apart from having dementia deterioration also had been found to have renal failure and wasn't expected to last the night ( her niece told me this).
She can no longer eat or drink and as from last night is not really conscious.
I will be back in the morning and will certainly update as I have said before it is just a matter of time.
I cannot thank you all enough for your support and prayers, I pray Margaret will cry out to God for that is all it will take for Him to open His arms to her.
It is now 1.35 Thursday morning and I am going to get to sleep now.
God bless you one and all.

Praying for you as well @Heavenhome

You have been a loving friend and neighbor to Margaret. I know this time is hard on you. I’ve been through those last moments as well and it hurts to the core even knowing the loved one is a believer. Much harder when they are not. Be rest assured God works even in these last moments. Our prayers will continue. We pray for you as well. God bless.

Thank you dear brothers and sisters for your prayers for Margaret and me.
When it is someone who is not Christian it is way harder but who knows, we may just all meet in heaven?

 God surely knows more than we do what transpired between Him and Margaret. He is a faithful God and His inexplicable grace has a very long reach. My dad died of smoke inhalation and was seemingly not saved, however God, in His inexplicable grace and mercy has assured me that my dad, during his last breath, grabbed onto God's hand of mercy at that last moment, and is safe with Him now. Our prayers, and yours, surely have not gone unanswered. God knew Margaret's heart, and how to intervene as only He can. Praying for you, dear heart, and all of Margaret's precious family and loved ones, and all who knew and loved Margaret at this time of loss and grief. (((hug)))

Thank you so much Brinny:sunflower:

I have prayed for each of you with thanksgiving to God for you all, He is far above what we can ever imagine and the mercy and sacrifice that Jesus made just breaks my heart with love and gratitude.

The Holy Spirit gives me much comfort about Margaret slipping into His arms as she passed, which I cling to. His mercy, love and goodness endures forever.
Do you know on Saturday when Margaret was in pain and in and out of awareness I asked her what I could do for her and she said "I need a new body" Well........
