  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Asking for prayer for acid reflux and its complications, including trouble swallowing and damaged vocal cords. Thanks!
Praying for relief soon!

Basically your gut bacteria is out of balance. More fiber, yogurt and perhaps something like Prilosec (just for a short-term, also other OTC meds might be equal or even better.) might have a good chance of working. Of course, depending on your circumstances, a MD certainly can help. i applaud you for turning this too God too and pray your path to health is far easier than you thought with no negative long-term consequences.

I would advise OP to talk to the doctor...I've been taking Prilosec for years now. Hopefully my stomach isn't destroyed.

Yes, going to MD is always good advice. Also, this is not your outcome, but there is research on some potential negative health issues of the long term use of prilosec. (Just in case your MD has not gone over the risks with you)
