im building my own computer and i was wondering how much wattage i should get in my power supply. im getting a 2400+ amd athlon xp with a 100 gb hdd and a cdrw and a dvd drive. possibly a low end graphics card.

CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If you are building your own system and plan on making upgrades to it, like adding stuff, I wouldn't go less than a 400watt supply.....personally, I put in 450-500watt supplys in systems that I build.....not sure why I didn't say this in my last post, I think I just got excited about the memory.....

How much was your strip of ram? I paid 39.99 after rebates at best buy for 512mb of ddr pc2100 266mhz ram, normal price is 159.99....that was a definate steal.....but I have seen the same for 59.99 after rebates also....you just have to watch the ad's for about a month or so to find it.....

they had both the week I bought mine at best buy (pc2100 and the pc2700 of the 512mb) which by the way I got my rebate check in the mail today so now I have money
