Hey all,
Last thursday night at 11pm we lost all our electicity due to an explosion at a substation. Which meant loads of houses and businneses lost power and all that. Well Friday we came on for about 2 hours in the morning and then went of. We had to end up taking all our meat n freezer stuff over to my nans so she could put in her chest freezer. Power eventually came on on Saturday 4:15pm, so it was nearly 48hours without power. There are generators everywhere until we can be connected to the main supply where the explosion is. It's totally mad!! I am just so thankful for electicity and how much we take it for granted!!

We went throught he same thing last winter when there was an ice storm. We were out almost 5 days. Lost every perishable thing we had. We do take things for granted sometimes. We had to use candles for light. I'm not sure I could have managed in the pioneer days. LOL. Hope things will be back to normal soon.
