Me:

-I have been listening to heavy metal since age 13 and still do so.

-I once played hooky from school to audtition for a TV show

- I grew up in a neighborhoord that was a closed off Super Orthodox Jewish community, complete with yearly burning sacrifices outside my window during passover.

- My mother's side of the family has lived on the same street for 60 years.

- My Puerto Rican grandparents (who were raised in Puerto Rico) only spoke to me in English. I never learned Spanish.

- I only speak English and my father only speaks Spanish.

- I gave birth to my daughter on my lunch hour at work.

Interesting Life

I ran cross country in HS and also college where I was also the coach the last two yrs.

I grew up in small towns, loved the freedom us boys had back then.

I have a Bible college degree.

I was an associate pastor for 14 yrs.

I love to fix things around my home. Just finished fixing the loose bricks on the front steps.

I was an only child

I once had a bird that died because I didn't realize they shell their food so I didn't feed it because I thought it had food....so sad

I was a cheerleader in 9th grade

I graduated a year early from High School, but sadly only took a few college classes, mainly art.

I was married for almost 25 years

I have 2 sons born to me, 2 step daughters, 1 step son, and 9 grandchildren

I don't remember ever NOT believing in God

- I was born the third child of six children.After the second child was born,my mother had two miscarriages.During her next pregnacy (with me),my father,a smoker prayed,that if this child is born healthy,that he would quit smoking.Well,I was born healthy,although only at 5 pounds,12 onuces. My father kept his vow and stopped smoking.

-As a young child,I would take apart flower steams,because I wanted to see what was inside them that made them work.

-As A child,I wanted to grow up to be either a professional baseball player,a scientist,or an actor.

-I took Spanish,because I wanted to know what Ricky Ricardo was saying when he was chewing out Lucy on "I Love Lucy"

-I grew up in San Francisco during the Hippie Heyday(1964-1969),yet I never smoked,dranked,or took any illeagal drugs.

-My favorite TV shows were science fiction shows like "Stat Trek","Lost In Space",and "The Outer Limits".That was one of the reasons that I am now a scientist.

-I saw myself, on a movie screen,at a theater,in the freature film,"The Kite Runner"

-I have visited Israel twice,and have floated on the Dead Sea twice.

-When I joined the U.S.Navy,during the first week in boot camp,two popular songs,that were playing on the radio,just came out that year.
They were,"Brandy,Your're A Fine Girl",and "It's Too Late To Turn Back Now".

_I cannot even conceive of living a life not knowing about GOD.Our parents took us to church every Sunday. My father told us,"You all were going to church before you where born." There have been studies that a human fetus can hear while in the womb. Maybe that is why I love music so much.

So I mowed a ladies yard yesterday after work. She wasn't home. She said she would leave some money in the Mail box .. wasn't there. Which was ok with me as I was mowing her weeds so her little dog could get out to pee in the pack yard.

The interesting thing was her neighbor asked if I was a handyman. I could have had a job painting some gutters. This morning the lady has emailed me saying he was sorry she did have the money in the mailbox and wanted to know if I could do a few other things round her home!

Looks like I'll turn down two jobs in two days!

I don't have time to do them .. plus the hot water in my shower is running half volume. If I don't get that fixed by cold weather, I'll be taking almost cold showers. As it is now, I don't get the volume of water I like to take a shower in. So I figure its time to tare my shower apart, put in new shower controls and get the tile fixed the way it should be. The current tile is 50's PINK. Its on all the walks about 4.5' high. So I'll fix the holes and replace the broken ones, then I think I can find someone who can coat them to a new color.

I've lived in Idaho (twice), California, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and I've lived in Ohio for the last 21 years.

I've been to Japan, France, and Nevis Island in the Caribbean.

I went to three different high schools

I'm an electrical engineer, amateur radio operator, and I have my professional engineer license.

I was briefly a certified lifeguard, with certificates for CPR and first aid.

I'm the vice president of a community theater group, where I'm their webmaster, sound and lighting director, and I've been on stage with a few local theaters. I've even had singing parts, much to everyone's amazement who figured I was just a tech guy. When I'm not on stage, I've also worked backstage and do set construction.

I sing karaoke.

I'm a pretty decent chef, and friends and my ex-wife can attest to that. Even have a dish I bashed together myself that got high marks from friends and family.

I make my own beer.

I restore antique radios and have about 20 in my collection. Some date back to the 1920s and are still working.

I play guitar, and I've dabbled in violin, viola, piano, and recorder. I also repair guitars and guitar amps, and I've fixed a few of them for friends.

I do nearly all my own car repairs, with the exception of tires and alignments, since I don't have the right tools to do those. I have replaced engines, replaced clutches, rebuilt brake systems, rebuilt carburetors, and seldom take my car to a shop.

I have a very diverse taste in music. Classic rock, big band jazz, swing, classical, some country, and Broadway/theater musicals. Hip hop and rap are about the only things I don't care for.
