Probably my favourite photo of the farm. I really love my Country, God's hand is so evident here in it's beauty.

Here's a panorama so you can see how flat it really is here (at least in my part of the Country). Sometimes it feels like the sky just goes on forever.

Ran a 5k today at the zoo. Ended up being extremely hilly so it kicked my booty, but I made it under 35 minutes which was my goal (32:39) Makes me want to keep running and come back next year under 30!

Took my grocery errand bicycle for a 70 mile ride from the middle of the city to the mountains to buy some fruits and grabbed some pictures.

The 2nd picture shows what looks like fog below the mountains, they're actually smog from the city. Gave me sore red eyes by the time I got home in the city.

Image of the surface of Saturn's moon Titan taken as the Huygens probe descended through the thick atmosphere. It's the first image of Titan's surface ever taken as the atmosphere obscured images from the Voyager probes and Earth based telescopes. The landing of the Huygens probe on Titan also marked the most distant landing in the Solar System so far.

Jupiter's moon Io imaged by New Horizons in 2015 as it passed by 16 years ago on March 2, 2007 capturing a 330-km-high plume from the volcano Tvashtar erupting along the moon's limb, as well as a few other smaller eruptions in process.

This weekend was a weekend I needed for my mental health and just to feel completely free. I went hiking on Friday (check out the pictures below), had a bonfire with friends on Saturday AND Sunday, and today, enjoyed a Memorial Day picnic with my family!

Voyager 1 image mosaic shows Io's (Jupiter's innermost Galilean moon) south polar region. The South Pole is near the terminator (line between daylight and night) at right center. Haemus Mons, a 10-km high (32,000 foot) mountain is at bottom. Elsewhere, much flatter volcanic plains, eroded volcanic plateaus, and crater-like volcanic calderas dominate the scene. The partly black-filled caldera at far left is Creidne Patera.

While I read some history (Four Princes by John Julius Norwich) I am also playing a board game that involves some of that history. Here I Stand begins on 31 October 1517 with Martin Luther's 95 Theses. The came covers the Hapsburgs as they sponsor exploration and conquest of the Americas, England as Henry VIII desperately tries for marry a woman to have a male heir, France as it experiences the Rennaissance, The Papacy tries to defend against the Protestant Reformation, and the Ottoman Turks look to conquer Vienna and defeat their Venetian rivals in the Mediterranean.

On Monday, I got the train to Holyhead in Anglesey, Wales, where I took the Stena ferry across to Dublin. Sailing was just over a few hours and the sea was smooth and weather pleasant enough to go out on deck. Here is a photo of the River Liffey in Dublin at dusk.
