I've just got this from a photography Forum I'm on

<<My children were there last night. After getting a phone call from my daughter, they had gotten out of the MEN but were lost.
Luckily I track all Apple devices in our Family and managed to guide them to somewhere safe where we managed to get close enough to town to meet them and get them out.
They're both incredibly shaken up, but very very lucky.
At least 81 people weren't so lucky. 22 of them seriously so. >>

I don't know the age of his 'children'

Someone posted this on Facebook. From some newspaper not sure which one:

A homeless man who rushed into the Manchester Arena in the wake of the terror attack has described how he helped a girl with no legs and cradled a dying 60-year-old woman. Chris Parker, who has been sleeping rough in Manchester for about a year, said that instead of fleeing when he heard the bang, he headed inside the venue and tried to help. The 33-year-old said the blast “knocked him to the floor” but “instead of running away my gut instinct was to run back and try and help”. “I saw a little girl … she had no legs. I wrapped her in one of the merchandise T-shirts and I said ‘where is your mum and daddy?’ She said ‘my dad is at work, my mum is up there’.” Read also: Suspected terrorist ‘dies at scene’ He said he thought the child’s mother had died from her injuries. Mr Parker, who was intending to ask concert-goers for money as they headed home, also went to help a woman who had serious leg and head injuries. He said: “She passed away in my arms. She was in her 60s and said she had been with her family. “I haven’t stopped crying.

Oh someone from the Church I attended until last month was there at the concert last night. Her family is safe and got out ok. Thank the Lord Almighty.

It's so sad seeing all the faces of those still missing. But there are a lot of people travelling a couple hundreds miles to help the stranded get home.

Edit. I read wrong... It was her relatives who were safe.

The worst of it is that killing teenagers was predictable. And it surely is the worst crime on earth. Every parent must be thinking - it could have been my child. Ariana herself must be traumatized.
I sometimes wonder if they have any idea of what human feelings and compassion are, if they already experienced it themselves. This is monstruous.

I think that ISIS suicide operatives are so often brainwashed, so I think they are incapable of it anymore.

Then they deserve our pity, if they have no longer these feelings but are only moved by monstruosity, they are no longer complete human beings. Somehow I feel sorry for them.

Our bishop , Bishop John Arnold in whose diocese most of Manchester is placed , has said , "The citizens of Manchester & members of the Catholic community are united in condemning the attack on the crowds at the Arena.”

“Such an attack that can have no justification. I thank the emergency services for their prompt and speedy response which saved lives.”

“We join in prayer for all those who have died and for the injured and their families and all affected by this tragedy.”

The Anglican Bishop of Manchester Rt Rev David Walker told Premier Radio: "At times of like this, prayer is one way in which we can pour out to God our grief but also go to God to rekindle our hope that we live in a world for which Jesus died and rose again. Nothing, no matter how many killed or injured in a blast can take that central truth away."

The Muslim Council of Britain secretary general Harun Khan said this morning: “My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.

“This is horrific, this is criminal. May the perpetrators face the full weight of justice both in this life and the next.

“I pay tribute to the police and emergency services who have worked valiantly to save lives last night.

“They were helped by civilians who rushed in to offer their support.

“I urge all those in the region and around the country to pool together to support those affected.”

here's a big company - normally lambasted for its poor Customer Service giving some help

<<
In light of last night’s attack at the MEN arena, all calls to Manchester landlines with the prefix 0161 dialled from any Virgin Media landline or mobile phone (business and consumer) are free. These calls will be free from 10.30pm last night until 10.30pm on the Wednesday 24 May.

Calls to the two emergency numbers below which will be free from any landline or mobile until the end of the bank holiday, Monday 29 May.

If anyone needs to find out about relatives who may have been at the concert last night, the two helpline numbers are 0161 856 9400 or 0161 856 9900. >>

Muslim leaders have condemned the suicide attack that killed 22 people and claimed that the city would not be divided by “barbaric animals”.

Mohammed Shafiq, the chief executive of Ramadhan Foundation in Manchester, said in a statement that the deadly explosion at the Ariana Grande concert was the “darkest day” in the city’s history.

You know Flavie, things like this has occurred so often lately that I've gone numb to the entire thing.
It's like "so it's in Manchester tonight, oh well, what else is on?"...

There's no future in Europe anymore :(

I was in Manchester a few days ago .

I got the train home from Manchester Victoria Station which is closed today because it is right next to the MEN Arena .

People were going about their business as they normally did on a Friday morning .

Knowing Mancunians , I am sure that come this Friday they will be going about their business undeterred by men of violence .

Such is the spirit of Mancunians .
